Jill Duggar Dillard is continuing to process her grief.
Two years after the heartbreaking loss of their daughter Isla Marie, reality TV personality and her husband, Derick Dillard, have shared how they remember her, including a recent visit to her gravesite.
In an Instagram post from February 27th, Jill shared that life is full of both good and bad times – happiness and sadness, beauty and pain. She expressed gratitude for God’s constant support throughout it all.
Okay, so Jill is 34, and she and Derick have three amazing boys – Israel, who’s 10, Samuel, 8, and little Frederick, who’s just 3. It’s just… heartbreaking, honestly. She was talking about how grief isn’t something you just get over, it comes and goes in waves. And when it hits her really hard, she finds peace going to see her sweet girl’s grave. It’s just… so touching, and I can’t even imagine how strong she is.
Jill shared that grief often hits hardest in quiet moments, bringing a stronger sense of loss. She also noted that certain places can amplify those feelings, giving you space to fully experience your sadness. She wrote this alongside a photo of herself at her daughter Isla’s graveside.
Looking at the sad photo, Jill said, “I’m so thankful to have a place where I can remember our daughter.”
Besides visiting Isla’s gravesite, the reality star shared that she’s been coping with her loss by spending time with and relying on her family.
She recently shared how grateful she is for all the good things happening in her life. She’s enjoying the sunshine and loves cooking with her kids – they’ve been making things like maple cinnamon swirl bread and frozen yogurt dots!
Besides posting pictures of her children’s cooking, Jill also shared some heartwarming family scenes, like a cute photo of her husband, Derick, relaxing on the floor with their son, and a cozy moment of her cuddling with one of her boys.

In April 2024, the Dillards announced the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Isla, who was stillborn. They shared on Instagram that they had been eagerly anticipating her arrival and that she was deeply loved, especially by her three older brothers. The family asked for prayers as they mourn and begin to heal.
Jill continues to lovingly remember Isla by sharing both the happy and difficult parts of her pregnancy. Last year, on the anniversary of Isla’s stillbirth, she bravely shared the heartbreaking details of the day they said goodbye.
Last March, she wrote about the difficult day a year prior when they learned their daughter had passed away just days before her expected birth. She explained that Derick’s mother cared for their sons while her own mother drove them to the hospital, where a few of her sisters and a friend were there to support them.

She also expressed deep gratitude for everyone who offered support and prayers, even those not shown in pictures, and who continue to be there for them during this incredibly difficult time.
In August, on the day that would have been Isla’s first birthday, Jill shared how heartbreaking it was to imagine her daughter learning to walk alongside her older brothers.
She explained they weren’t sure what caused the loss, but extensive testing suggested it was probably a hidden bleed under the developing tissues, which wouldn’t have been preventable because it wasn’t discovered until after the fact.
Despite the sadness, Jill expressed deep gratitude for the four months she and her partner were able to carry their daughter.
Although fans have missed Isla, Jill and Derick have been busy making special memories with their three sons. Check out more photos of the Dillard family below!

Let me tell you, May 2022 was a sweet time for my family! We headed to Silver Dollar City in Missouri and absolutely loved the bluegrass and barbecue festival. And honestly, no trip is complete without a little something sweet – we definitely indulged in a funnel cake! It was extra special because we were also excitedly awaiting the arrival of our third little boy.

Jill and son Samuel attended story time at the local library in December 2021.

They announced the arrival of Frederick Michael Dillard in July 2022.

Jill captioned her sons’ photo shoot, “We are all in love with our newest little boy in the tribe!”

Oh my gosh, seeing this picture of Jill with little Freddy just kills me! She posted it back in November 2022 and the caption… it gets me every time. She said even though being a mom is exhausting, time flies by, and she just wants to soak up every single second with her babies. She even prayed to God to help her be the best mom Freddy and her other kids need! It’s just… so sweet and relatable, I could cry. I seriously live for these little glimpses into her life.

Derick spent some quality time with son Freddy, who was just 4 weeks in the pic.

Jill posted a heartwarming picture in December 2022, captioning it “My world!” She also expressed her love for her husband, Derick Dillard, calling him everyone’s favorite and saying “Love you babe.”

Jill celebrated her son Israel’s 8th birthday in April 2023.
The TLC star expressed amazement at how quickly her son is growing up and taking on more responsibility. She recently let him try making dinner for the family, and he happily chose to make what they now call ‘Israel’s Favorite Soup.’

In May 2023, Derick celebrated his wife’s 32nd birthday with a sweet message. He told her, “Life is so much fun with you! I’m grateful for you every single day, and I love you more than anything.” He jokingly added a postscript, promising to one day fulfill her lifelong wish for three bunnies – Nibbles, Fluffy, and Edna – as a birthday gift.
