Jinger Duggar, who is well-versed in caring for infants, finds herself stepping into uncharted waters with her third child.
While caring for her daughters Felicity (age 6) and Evangeline (age 4), she encountered some difficulties while also nursing her third child Finn (age 5 months). This predicament prompted her to investigate alternative methods.
During the August 27th episode of their podcast, “The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast,” she mentioned that at the age of 31, she seems to have an allergy, specifically to dairy and soy.
And nursing Finn would require Jinger to remove some staples from her own diet.
The former 19 Kids and Counting star clarified, “I’ve been discussing this with a pediatrician, who suggested two options: eliminating both dairy and soy from his diet, or transitioning him to formula instead.
Instead of nursing her baby boy for a little while longer, Jinger feels it may be more practical to make the transition to solid foods, considering her role as a mother of three and the need for balance.
She mentioned that she’s having doubts about being able to completely eliminate various items from her diet as an experiment to see the results. Instead, she might stick with a more challenging approach, which is following a specific formula or routine. In other words, she expressed uncertainty about whether she can psychologically return to such a restrictive dietary state.
She mentioned that her “strong son,” whom she often calls the “largest one ever,” has now passed his 5-month mark. As a result, she feels satisfied with the time they’ve spent together thus far.
She stressed that he’s quite grown-up. And when it comes to that aspect, I feel confident and content, saying ‘Things are going well.’ The pediatrician agrees, adding ‘This is an excellent moment.’ If we choose to proceed further, they encourage us to do so. We’ll keep an eye on how things develop.
On the initial occasion, “Counting On” first announced Finn’s return, which happened in March, while they were discussing their family expansion to five members, including Jeremy and herself.
In a YouTube video uploaded on March 30, Jinger remarked that the baby is thriving. She admitted she was feeling quite fatigued but overall, she considered the delivery to be quite satisfactory. She expressed her deep gratitude towards God for blessing them with this robust and healthy newborn baby boy.

Originally a loving pair of high school sweethearts, these parents of 19 children (and grandparents to more than three dozen) began their journey together.
Michelle remembers being rescued at the age of 15. One evening, Jim Bob was conducting home visits for his Baptist church and found himself knocking on the Ruark family’s door after a friend mentioned that “a girl from school who had recently been saved and was a cheerleader” lived there.
Michelle was invited to attend Sunday school at a church by some people, among them Jim Bob. It was reported that he had hoped they could become each other’s spiritual guides, although their initial encounter didn’t seem particularly memorable for Michelle. A year later, Michelle applied for a job at the frozen yogurt shop owned by Jim Bob’s parents. In a blog post from 2017 on their family blog for Jim Bob’s birthday and their wedding anniversary, Michelle recounted that she met Jim Bob at the counter where he was working, introduced herself, and he shyly asked her to attend the junior-senior banquet with him.
At Shiloh Christian, they both went to a dinner together, but it wasn’t until later that night when they spent hours at her family home discussing the Bible that she felt their connection deepen. Michelle has stated that this is when they truly bonded, leading up to their graduation from high school in May 1984 and subsequent marriage in July, with both being 17 and 19 years old respectively.
The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.
Jim Bob previously held a position as a state legislator, serving in the Arkansas House of Representatives for the sixth district from 1999 to 2002. During his tenure, he was vice-chair of the Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. In 2002, he attempted to secure a seat in the U.S. Senate but failed during the primary elections. In 2006, he also unsuccessfully ran for the Republican nomination for Arkansas State Senate District 35.
They, along with Michelle, both real estate agents with valid licenses, have been actively involved in conservative movements – a part of their lifestyle that earned them not only supporters but also critics for the reality show “19 Kids and Counting,” which initially premiered as “17 Kids and Counting” in 2008.
As of October 2024, they were grandparents of 33 with three on the way.
The eldest child of the Duggars, Josh Duggar, came into this world on March 3, 1988. Just like his family, he also took on the role of a conservative activist, advocating for the Family Research Council.
In 2015, records from his time as a police officer emerged, implicating him in accusations of molestation when he was a teenager. Among the alleged victims were his sisters Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar. Despite these allegations, Jessa stood by her brother during an interview with Fox News in June, stating that the harsh words being used against Josh were “exaggerated and untrue, to be honest. I can say this because I was one of the affected parties.
I, being deeply committed, stand by my partner, Anna Duggar – the one who became my wife during our heartfelt wedding held on September 26, 2008, and was showcased on ’19 Kids and Counting’. Even amidst challenging times, such as when I confessed to infidelity, she chose to remain steadfast by my side.
Upon admittance to a rehabilitation facility in 2016, his parents described it as an essential initial move towards restoration and healing.
The parents of Mackynzie (born October 8, 2009), Michael (June 15, 2011) and Marcus (June 2, 2013) had a fourth child named Meredith on July 16, 2015, which was also the day TLC canceled ’19 Kids’. Their fifth child, Mason Garett, arrived on September 12, 2017. Next came Maryella Hope on November 27, 2019, and most recently, their seventh child, Madyson Lily, was born on October 23, 2021.
In April 2021, a federal indictment accused Josh of having separate charges for receiving and possessing child pornography. However, he pleaded not guilty to both allegations. In 2022, he was convicted of the receipt charge but the possession charge was later dismissed by the judge. As a result, he received a sentence of 12 and a half years in prison.
A short time following Josh’s birth, Michelle became pregnant once more; however, she had a miscarriage. During their period of mourning and seeking wisdom, they learned that twins were expected.
In a heartfelt conversation, I shared with Love to Know, “I consider it a double grace bestowed upon us. It feels as if God is nurturing our spirits. We’re continually learning and growing. This is quite extraordinary, for not only do I nurse my babies, but my children are born incredibly close together. It seems that the Lord has chosen to add another layer of uniqueness to our circumstances by granting me a new baby just eight months after the last.
John David Duggar and his twin sister Jana Duggar were born on Jan. 12, 1990.
Following a long acquaintanceship spanning several years, which culminated during a church gathering in Abbie’s hometown, Oklahoma, John David and Abbie-Grace Burnett exchanged vows on November 3, 2018, marking the start of their married life.
On January 7, 2020, they graciously brought their daughter Grace Annette into the world, while Charlie Duggar joined them in September 2022.
On Jan’s 30th birthday in January 2020, Jan wrote a heartfelt message: “Since we were kids, people have often wondered if John and I share some sort of ‘twin intuition’. You know, the sensation of feeling what the other is feeling or knowing what the other is thinking…For a long time, I’ve denied it-but the day our daughter Gracie was born, I shared your joy completely. So, maybe there’s something to this after all!
Allow me to express my sentiments directly. It’s truly heartwarming to observe your role as parents, for you two seem as natural in this new capacity as you have always been in your role as a sibling. The qualities that have made you an exceptional brother will undoubtedly shine even brighter as you transition into the role of an amazing father.
Jana looked on as 11 out of her total 18 siblings tied the knot, before herself falling in love with Stephen Wissmann. Notably, Stephen’s sister Hannah Wissmann is married to Jeremiah, one of Jana’s own brothers. Through it all, she remained convinced that everything was part of a divine plan, acknowledging some occasional frustration along the way.
In simpler terms, Jana expressed to People magazine before her August 15, 2024 wedding that she hasn’t always grasped the overall plan, but believes God has the best intentions for everyone. For her personally, marriage comes later in life. She also mentioned that everyone’s lives are unique and it would be dull if we were all identical.
Just over a year later, the couple shared that they’re expecting their first baby.
Jill Duggar, now known as Jill Dillard, was born on May 17, 1991. Much like her parents’ love story, she encountered Derick (who lived approximately 45 minutes away) for the first time on Christmas 2011. This meeting took place when Derick visited the Duggar family home during his church group’s caroling outing.
Jim Bob acted as a relationship broker, and Jill and Derick found a strong connection through emails and Skype conversations. In November of the same year, they both visited Nepal, where their bond deepened even further. Their affection for each other continued to grow, leading to Derick proposing to Jill in February 2014. They got married on June 21, 2014, and have since become parents to three sons: Israel (born April 6, 2015), Samuel (born July 8, 2017), and Frederick (born July 7, 2022).
Come April 2024, it was revealed that Jill had endured a miscarriage during the anticipation of their first daughter with Derick.
In the Amazon Prime Video documentary titled “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets,” which was released in June 2023, Jill and Derick took time to ponder over the debates and spiritual convictions linked to her family’s background that were highlighted within the film.
Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.
Jessa encountered Ben at church, and he initiated a traditional form of courtship towards her in 2013 – an antiquated style of wooing that was novel for many viewers. Before getting engaged, they kept their romantic lives private, so Jim Bob clarified to People magazine, “Courting involves getting to know each other in a group setting, with both families spending time together and the couple establishing shared objectives to ascertain if they are destined for marriage. Contrastingly, dating typically includes couples spending time alone, which may lead to a more intimate relationship.
In August 2014, Ben asked for Jessa’s hand in marriage, and they shared their first married moment. Their wedding took place on November 1, 2014. While expecting their first child, Jessa and the family’s reality show, “19 Kids and Counting,” was canceled. Subsequently, TLC aired a special episode about sexual abuse, featuring Jill and Jessa, to educate viewers further on the subject. That winter, Jessa and Jill became the stars of their own show, titled “Jill and Jessa: Counting On.” The show eventually expanded to include other Duggar siblings and was renamed “Counting On.
Over the course of several years, Jessa and Ben expanded their family. On November 5, 2015, they welcomed their firstborn, Spurgeon. Henry joined the family on February 6, 2017, followed by Ivy Jane on May 28, 2019. In July 2021, they were blessed with another daughter named Fern. However, in February 2023, Jessa shared a heartbreaking experience of a miscarriage that occurred during the previous holiday season. But she found solace and joy again when she gave birth to son George in December 2023.
In August 2025, Jessa announced the birth of son Edward.
The sixth Duggar child, Jinger Vuolo, was born Dec. 21, 1993.
Jinger and Jeremy became acquainted while performing religious duties in Laredo, Texas, in 2016, and they started dating around that time. They tied the knot on November 5, 2016, which also happened to be their nephew Spurgeon’s birthday. Given that they are part of a large family with 19 members, it’s difficult not to have significant events overlap. As a result, speculation about pregnancy began almost immediately after their wedding.
A year from now, I expect we’ll be settled down and continuing our ministry in Laredo, all while striving to serve the Lord in whatever ways we can,” Jinger stated on a June 2017 episode of Counting On.
On July 19, 2018, their child named Felicity was born. It was in May of that year when they publicly announced that Jinger was pregnant again; sadly, she had experienced a miscarriage the preceding fall. Then, in November 2020, they were blessed with another daughter, whom they named Evangeline Jo.
Son Finnegan Charles was born March 29, 2025.
Born on January 20, 1995, Joseph Duggar found his partner Kendra, whom they had both met through their shared faith at church, during one of the most romantic settings: his sister Joy-Anna’s wedding in May 2017, shortly after a few months of dating.
Joseph shared with People that he was undeniably anxious before proposing, yet he wasn’t scared she would decline because she had expressed, “I’m simply waiting for you!” Following the proposal, Kendra exclaimed, “I’m overjoyed and utterly astonished. There are so many things I wish to say, but all I can think is shocked.
Since then, they have shared the news of the births: Garrett, who arrived in June 2018, Addison born in November 2019, and Brooklyn joining them in February 2021.
Eighth in line, Josiah Duggar was born on Aug. 28, 1996.
Within just a few months after their relationship became public, the couple declared their engagement in March 2018. As stated, the location where he proposed to Lauren was the same spot where her parents got engaged. The property holds much family history, making it a significant and meaningful place for Lauren.
In a video shared on their family blog, Michelle (who will be Lauren’s mother-in-law) expressed her love for Lauren, saying, “Lauren is such a treasure.” Jessa and Ben also extended their congratulations, along with some chocolate in the shape of x’s and o’s. Michelle then teased, “I think you two want to save your first kiss for your wedding day, but if you visit us, we have a sweet reward waiting!
In the summer of 2015, a past relationship with Marjorie Jackson ended amicably for Josiah. As he shared with People in March 2016, they had enjoyed each other’s company but felt it was not the right moment according to their religious guidance. Therefore, Marjorie chose to pause the relationship for a while.
On June 30, 2018, they got married, with them telling People their wedding day was “absolutely perfect.” Their first child, Bella Milagro, was born on Nov. 8, 2019, meaning “miracle baby,” following a miscarriage Lauren had in October 2018. They welcomed daughter Daisy in 2022 and son Ezra in May 2023.
Ninth sibling Joy-Anna Duggar was born Oct. 28, 1997.
She had been friends with Austin Forsyth for a full 15 years before he began courting her. Following this, their relationship moved swiftly. He popped the question in February 2017, and they tied the knot on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas – that’s the same church where Joseph proposed to Kendra!
Joy-Anna and Austin have brought home three beautiful additions to their family: Gideon Martin Forsyth on February 23, 2018, Evelyn Mae Forsyth on August 21, 2020, and Gunner James Forsyth on May 17, 2023.
On the 30th of December in 1998, Jim Bob and Michelle welcomed their second pair of twins, named Jed and Jeremiah.
Jed got married to Katey Nakatsu a year later, in April 2021, after a year of courtship. They have a son named Truett who was born in May 2022, and a daughter named Nora Kate, born in June 2023.
In July of 2024, Jed and Katey shared the exciting news that they were expecting twin girls. On January 8, 2025, their daughters Elsie Kate and Emma Kate were born.
Jeremiah, a qualified pilot instructor, is married to Hannah Wissmann – Jana’s brother-in-law Stephen’s sister. Together, they have two children: Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, who joined the family in February 2024.
They announced the arrival of their third daughter, Emery ‘Emy’ Jane Duggar, on May 18, 2025.
No. 12 Jason Duggar was born on April 21, 2000.
Back in January 2017, I was privy to some exciting news shared by the Daily Mail: my esteemed acquaintance, Jim Bob, aided Jase in purchasing a $33,000 fixer-upper, situated approximately 30 minutes away from our beloved Duggar family homestead, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. What’s more, he ultimately established his own construction company following this transaction.
In May 2024, he made his relationship with Maddie Grace public on Instagram, and they got married the subsequent October.
Charmed No. 13, James Duggar was born July 7, 2001.
He hasn’t made his romantic intentions clear towards a potential partner yet, but he is a loving and caring uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
On my 19th birthday in 2019, my mom Michelle penned down something that truly encapsulates who I am: “He’s the coolest uncle anyone could ask for, and all the younger lads around here aspire to be just like him!”
I guess you could say I’m a bit of an extraordinary individual. As far back as I can remember, I’ve been tinkering with various household appliances, fixing them up or even enhancing their functionality. It’s not unusual for my family to find me disassembling something, figuring out its inner workings, and then reassembling it with a twist!
This year, James dedicated considerable effort to earning his Commercial Driver’s License, and now he’s mastered operating large trucks and heavy equipment with ease! We’re excitedly looking forward to witnessing what lies ahead for him in the coming times, guided by divine plans.
No. 14 Justin Duggar arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.
In September 2020, he made their relationship with Claire Spivey known to the public. They became engaged in November of the same year and were wed on February 26, 2021.
In the company of his elder sister Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle’s 15th child, Jackson Duggar, made his arrival on May 23, 2004.
On his 16th birthday, Michelle, Jackson’s mom, complimented his wit and mentioned how excited she knew he was to receive his driver’s license.
On his 16th birthday, it was Jackson’s mother Michelle who commented on his humor and revealed her awareness that he couldn’t wait to get his driver’s license.
Johannah Duggar, who came into the world on October 11, 2005, became part of the family featured in the original TV show titled “16 Children Under One Roof: The Duggars Move In“.
In Michelle’s words, written for her daughter’s 15th birthday in 2020: “This girl is full of life and enjoys meeting new people. My daughters simply can’t get enough of her! I am incredibly thankful to God for blessing me with such an amazing child as my own.
Jennifer Duggar arrived on Aug. 2, 2007, then the baby of the family.
Their TLC show that premiered Sept. 29, 2008, was christened 17 Kids and Counting.
Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.
Michelle celebrated her daughter, Jennifer’s 13th birthday, praising her as reliable, loyal, and full of fun. Adored by her nieces and nephews who often cling to her, she’s always found caring for them. Jennifer’s affection extends to animals too; she faithfully takes care of her pets daily. Recently, she even helped nurture a brood of 7 little bunnies!
Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.
In 2019, Jordyn-Grace was described by her mom as an extroverted girl who seems to know no strangers. Her laughter is often one of the most delightful highlights of each day.
Born on December 10, 2009, Josie Duggar arrived three months early, tipping the scales at just 1 pound, 6 ounces. Due to her prematurity, she spent a significant six-month period in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
On my little one’s eleventh birthday in 2020, I penned: “Josie is a whirlwind of vitality! From the moment she greets the day to the instant her head touches the pillow, she seldom pauses for rest!
