Jodie Turner-Smith Shares Summer Plans With Daughter Juno

Jodie Turner-Smith has the scoop on her summer plans.

As her 40th birthday approaches on September 7th, actress Jodie Turner-Smith intends to start celebrating with her daughter, Juno, and her ex-husband, Joshua Jackson. Juno is six years old.

Turner-Smith told TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi that she’s planning to start celebrating on June 1st. She’s looking forward to traveling during the summer months while her daughter is out of school, allowing them to enjoy fun activities together.

Reaching the age of 40 felt particularly meaningful for Turner-Smith, as it marked not just a birthday, but a celebration of her current life stage and everything she’s achieved.

The 39-year-old shared that they feel healthier and more confident than ever before, and are enjoying a fulfilling career doing work they’ve always wanted, surrounded by talented colleagues.

She added, “This is a celebration.”

Being around Juno always lifts Turner-Smith’s spirits, and she’s grateful for the support during the challenging shoot of Agency season two—particularly because her character faces some very tough experiences this season.

“I’m a mum,” she explained to TopMob, “so that is a part of existence.”

Turner-Smith believes that wanting to protect your child is a natural, instinctive response, similar to the fight-or-flight reaction. She explained that returning home to her daughter is a completely different experience than being in a difficult and isolating environment like a Moroccan prison cell.

Even though her job, including filming the Paramount+ thriller, can be stressful, the Tron: Ares star always makes an effort to have her dog, Juno, with her on set whenever possible.

You know, what really gets to me is being able to share my work with my family. I was telling TopMob News back in October that it’s honestly the best part of this whole journey. It’s incredible to be able to include them in these amazing experiences that come with my career, and it means the world to me.

Jodie Turner-Smith believes it’s vital for young girls to witness their mothers pursuing their passions and enjoying their careers. She wants her daughter to see women who are happy and fulfilled, and that’s what she strives to demonstrate as a role model.

Will Juno become an actress like her parents? “It’s impossible to say,” Turner-Smith shared. “She has endless possibilities and can do anything she sets her mind to.”

The Agency season two premieres June 21, with all 10 episodes available on Paramount+.
