JoJo Siwa Walks Down the Aisle With Chris Hughes—But Not Like That

Here comes the bride—but it’s not JoJo Siwa.

Singer JoJo Siwa surprised everyone at her brother Jayden Siwa’s wedding in Los Angeles on February 28th by getting married herself! She exchanged vows with her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, during the ceremony, while Jayden married his longtime partner, Abbie Crandall.

Oh my gosh, JoJo looked absolutely incredible! I was completely obsessed with her outfit at the event. She wore this stunning silver sequined dress – it was backless with long sleeves and such a unique, asymmetrical shape. It was seriously breathtaking. She paired it with white heels and a delicate silver necklace, and her blonde hair was styled in a high ponytail with these gorgeous loose waves around her face. I can’t stop looking at the pictures, she was a vision!

Chris, age 33, looked stylish as he walked alongside the former child star. He wore a navy suit with a white shirt and a pink tie, finished with a small pink flower on his lapel.

The couple also posted some heartwarming moments from the celebration online. On March 1st, Chris shared a photo on his Instagram Stories of their hands clasped in JoJo’s lap, with a caption saying more wedding photos were coming soon and that it had been a beautiful day.

JoJo limited her social media posts from the wedding, only sharing a cute picture of the former Love Island U.K. contestant sweetly holding a dog while dancing.

She shared a photo on Instagram Stories, captioning it, ‘This is the only picture I took all night!’ She added three cry-laughing emojis and explained that while a professional photographer was present, this was the one moment she felt compelled to capture herself.

JoJo and Chris were thrilled to be there for Jayden’s special occasion. The couple, who started dating after meeting on Celebrity Big Brother UK last year, have also been talking about their own future, including marriage. JoJo, who is known from Dance Moms, recently mentioned she might even be the one to propose!

In a December interview with The Sun, she playfully considered proposing to Chris. ‘I was thinking, what if I got him a ring?’ she said. ‘I wouldn’t do it unless we waited seven years, then I’d finally get down on one knee!’

JoJo gave Chris an ultimatum, declaring she would propose to him herself on May 27, 2032, if he didn’t propose to her first. She made it clear she wouldn’t wait any longer than that date.

On August 1, 2020, a then-17-year-old JoJo Siwa happily shared who she was dating – a boyfriend who she liked even more than her celebrity crushes, Patrick Dempsey from Grey’s Anatomy and Zac Efron.

Honestly, I’m just blown away! I was telling Jessalynn Siwa about this musician, and I truly can’t picture anyone being a better fit. He’s absolutely amazing – I feel so lucky!

But by that November, the pair were no longer in harmony. 

JoJo Siwa defended her recent breakup with Mark, saying he doesn’t deserve negativity. She explained that they had a lot of fun and were both very happy together, but ultimately decided they were better off as friends. She asked people to respect their decision and acknowledged they simply realized a relationship wasn’t the right path for them.

JoJo Siwa and Kylie Prew first became friends on a cruise in 2020, but their relationship blossomed a year later. Siwa announced on Instagram in February 2021 that she had started dating Prew, calling her an exceptional person.

Siwa also thanked her girlfriend, calling her incredibly supportive and saying she inspired her to be authentic. She had already collaborated with Pride House, a group of LGBTQ+ TikTok creators, and posted a video of herself dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” She was considering whether or not to share a photo of her new t-shirt that said “Best Gay Cousin Ever.”

JoJo Siwa explained on The Tonight Show that she felt hesitant about posting a picture on her Reels story, but a friend gave her enthusiastic encouragement. ‘Just do it!’ the friend said, and Siwa took the advice and posted it.

JoJo Siwa and her former partner moved in together, a decision Siwa now regrets, according to an April 2024 interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast. They broke up in October of the same year, but shared one last dance together in 2022.

JoJo Siwa told Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she and Avery Cyrus are still close and talk frequently.

But safe to say her romance with the TikToker wasn’t all fun and games. 

After Siwa shared a video in March 2023 criticizing past relationships for excessive flattery and attention-seeking, Mills responded with some pointed comments of her own.

She publicly spoke out on TikTok that month, saying she was finished staying silent. She questioned how someone could claim to love someone and then abruptly cut off contact, only to later accuse them online of seeking attention and being overly affectionate. She admitted she didn’t understand the contradictory behavior.

She also pointed out that Siwa was the one who first shared their relationship with the public, but Mills always asked for her permission before posting anything about it online. Mills emphasized she has text messages to back up her claim, and warned people not to question her account.

It’s safe to say Avery Cyrus, who JoJo Siwa briefly dated in 2022, hasn’t become a major star herself.

To mark their 12-year anniversary, the singer described her relationship as a dream come true. In an October interview with TopMob News, she explained that their strong connection comes from how well their personalities blend. She also shared that her partner’s positivity lifts her spirits, and she hopes she has the same effect in return.

However, the atmosphere shifted in December. Just two days after Miley Cyrus announced their breakup, JoJo Siwa hinted online about someone who had used her popularity for their own benefit.

She expressed feeling taken advantage of for attention and popularity in a December 2022 video her mother posted. She said she was led to believe someone cared for her, but ultimately felt betrayed and used.

For Cyrus, though, their dalliance wasn’t a game. 

We ended things with JoJo on good terms and remain friends,” she told TopMob News. “Our connection was genuine, and I have a lot of love for JoJo and her family.

She said Dakayla was so amazing, she had to take time off from being JoJo Siwa to become Dakayla’s assistant! An All-Star Assistant! It was the most adorable, obvious confirmation ever, and honestly, I’ve been shipping them ever since. They’re perfect together, I just knew JoJo was obsessed!

For months, Wilson was a wonderful dance partner. JoJo Siwa revealed that Wilson supported her desire to have triplets and generously spent $30,000 to celebrate her nineteenth birthday with a trip to Hawaii.

“I’m completely in love with her,” the former Nickelodeon star told TopMob News. “She’s an amazing person, and I feel so fortunate to have her in my life.”

But it turned out that Wilson wasn’t all Siwa wanted for Christmas. 

JoJo Siwa shared with People in November 2024 that she and her former partner had gone their separate ways, describing her as a wonderful person. Siwa also mentioned she had her own plans for the holidays and that her ex-partner was spending the holidays with her family.

Siwa publicly announced she was dating Kath Ebbs in January 2025, referring to the Australian content creator as her girlfriend.

Ebbs reciprocated the affection, sharing pictures of them kissing on Instagram that same month. The post included the caption, “Just a little queer joy for your feed!”

Just three months after that, Ebbs shared that they actually broke up at the wrap party for Celebrity Big Brother UK.

In an April 2025 TikTok, Ebbs explained that she’d been told there were mixed emotions and that the other housemates had come to the conclusion they didn’t see a future with her.

However, Siwa maintained that this wasn’t a situation where she could easily be substituted, even though she was close to fellow housemate Chris Hughes.

While filming, JoJo Siwa realized she had time to think without outside influences. As she explained on ITV’s This Morning with Phillip Hughes, this allowed her to recognize things in her life she’d previously accepted that she actually shouldn’t have.

Siwa didn’t win Celebrity Big Brother UK, but she found something even better on the show in spring 2025: a romantic connection with fellow contestant Chris Hughes.

She excitedly told Keltie Knight of TopMob News at the opening of Universal’s Epic Universe on May 21st that Christopher is her favorite person to talk about. She quickly corrected herself, saying he’s not a ‘thing,’ but truly her favorite person.

And, yet, she kept reiterating, they were just friends. Until they weren’t. 

JoJo Siwa confirmed in an interview with The Guardian in June 2025 that her relationship with her partner had become romantic. She described it as a wonderful progression, saying she’s very much in love and he feels the same way.

She still feels the term “queer” best describes her identity, but she prioritizes connecting with people as individuals rather than focusing on labels.

JoJo Siwa pointed out that there are many different ways people identify sexually. She believes it’s a wonderful thing when someone figures out who they are.
