Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga! A year after the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, creator Gege Akutami began a sequel series set 68 years after the Culling Game. The new manga reveals the tragic fate Yuji Itadori suffered after consuming the Death Paintings – a desperate attempt to gain more power. As a result, he has stopped aging and is destined to live for over 300 more years. This means he’s forced to watch his friends and loved ones grow old and die, all while he remains unchanged and haunted by the regret of not being able to fulfill his grandfather’s last wish. Over the decades, Yuji has also become incredibly powerful, arguably the strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
The manga is nearing its conclusion, as it was planned to be a relatively short series lasting about six months. While we’ve only seen a little of Yuji’s abilities so far, it’s obvious he’s become incredibly strong. This raises the question: has he surpassed Satoru Gojo, who was considered the most powerful sorcerer of his time?
Yuji Is Stronger Than Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo

When it comes to overall power and cursed energy, Yuji is likely stronger than Gojo. He’s demonstrated incredible control and destructive force with his Blood Manipulation Technique. Plus, Yuji instinctively knows how to use Sukuna’s Cursed Technique, as his body remembers it from when he was Sukuna’s vessel. Most recently, in chapter 22, he prevented Mahito from using his Domain Expansion and defeated him with a remarkably powerful attack – one of the strongest seen in the series so far.
Mahito needs half a second to expand his domain, Gojo does it even faster, and Sukuna is almost instantaneous. Because Yuji can easily counter Mahito’s domain, he likely has the ability to do the same against Gojo. While sorcerers as powerful as Gojo are incredibly rare, even he was ultimately defeated by Ryomen Sukuna – and Yuji now shares Sukuna’s power. Comparing anyone to Gojo is difficult because of his seemingly impenetrable defense, Infinity. However, Yuji is unique; he might be able to overcome Infinity, a technique originally mastered by his late teacher.
Even though Sukuna relied on Mahoraga’s assistance, he was powerful enough to defeat Gojo on his own. Gojo was virtually untouchable by anyone except Sukuna. Yuji, being both a cherished student of Gojo’s and someone who shares Sukuna’s abilities, always had the potential to exceed his teacher. However, Gojo likely never imagined that potential would be realized through such a devastating circumstance.
