Please be aware that this article contains spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga! The sequel series to Jujutsu Kaisen is wrapping up soon, after beginning in September 2025. A year after the original story ended, creator Gege Akutami surprised fans with a short sequel focusing on new characters set 68 years after the Culling Game. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, was initially planned to last about six months and consist of no more than three volumes. With the main conflict now resolved, the story is quickly approaching its conclusion. Chapter 25, marking the ‘Super Climax,’ will be released on March 8th, 2026. I’m so excited – it looks like we’re getting close to the end of the manga! While it’s not quite over yet, the creators are saying it will wrap up next month. Shonen Jump usually calls this the “Super Climax” phase when a series is about to finish, and it means we’ve got less than a month left! Plus, they’ve announced that chapters 23 through 25 will all have color pages, which is amazing. Honestly, most of the chapters already have them, and they really showcase Iwasaki’s incredible artwork – everyone’s been raving about it, and for good reason!
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Still Needs to Answer Major Questions Before Finale
Even though it was dangerous, Yuji and Maru decided to try and bring peace between the Simurians, sorcerers, and cursed spirits by manipulating souls. They separated before Maru used Mahito’s abilities, successfully saving Yuka’s life and healing Cross and Tsurugi from life-threatening wounds. Maru pressed on with his goal to eliminate cursed spirits and kalyans – beings that are essentially alike due to the similar nature of their souls. Carrying the weight of such a serious act is difficult, but Maru isn’t alone; his brother and friends are there to support him and share the responsibility.
The story is wrapping up, and all that remains is to show the consequences of Maru’s ritual for restoring balance. However, several key questions remain unanswered. We still don’t know what happened to Iori Okkotsu, the son of Yuta and Maki, who vanished after ensuring his daughter inherited the Zenin Clan’s abilities. Similarly, the fate of Megumi, a central character in the original story, is still a mystery. While Modulo reveals what happened to most of Gojo’s students, Megumi is notably left out. Given his exceptional talent as a former user of the Ten Shadows Technique and his return to sorcery after Sukuna’s defeat, his absence is particularly striking.
The first volume of the manga came out on January 5, 2026, and the second is scheduled for release on March 4, 2026. Currently, both volumes are only available in Japan, and it will likely take several months before they’re translated and officially released in English by Viz Media.
