Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen is currently airing and has introduced a fantastic new character who promises to make things even more thrilling. Many fans are already calling it the best new anime series currently on air. The season has been carefully setting the stage for its major storyline, developing both new characters and existing sorcerers before diving fully into the Culling Game. The goal is to find a way to end the game and free Gojo, who is currently sealed. As you’d expect, these new characters have only had quick introductions so far, giving viewers a taste of what’s to come.
The most recent episode featured a turning point for Yuji, and finally introduced the long-awaited third-year sorcerer, Hakari, to the fight. With all the setup complete, the story is now shifting its focus to the intense and deadly Culling Game. The episode also gave us a first look at a brand-new character who seems perfectly suited for the challenges ahead. This character’s powerful drive has quickly established him as the arc’s main antagonist, and fans are eager to see the extent of his abilities.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Introduces a New Ancient Sorcerer

The current arc in the series is shaping up to be incredibly exciting because it’s bringing back some of history’s most powerful sorcerers. We’ve already met Angel, a powerful ancient sorcerer involved in Gojo’s return, and the latest episode introduced Hajime Kashimo, who lived 400 years ago. Kashimo immediately stands out as a major threat – he’s already eliminated 40 players in the Culling Game (earning him 200 points) and has even added a new rule to help him find and challenge strong opponents.
It turns out Kashimo’s main purpose is to find a truly powerful opponent – Sukuna. This makes him a perfect fit for the Culling Game, promising even more intense battles than fans expected. With strong fighters like Maki, Yuta, and Hakari already involved, and Kashimo specifically seeking out Sukuna (which means he’ll likely target Yuji), a major showdown is almost certain. The potential for Kashimo to fight any of the heroes adds another layer of excitement to this already thrilling season of Jujutsu Kaisen.
