Over time, numerous outstanding Jurassic Park video games have been released, and for this writer, the classic 16-bit versions remain deeply etched in memory, along with the Theme Park-style management game on Game Boy Advance. Moreover, Frontier’s more recent strategy games are also highly appreciated.
To put it frankly, there’s a common anticipation among us for a contemporary solo game campaign that echoes the essence of the initial movie.
The forthcoming game Jurassic Park Survival by Saber Interactive is essentially a continuation of the legendary film by Steven Spielberg. In this game, you’ll find yourself stepping into the role of Dr. Maya Joshi, as the story unfolds the day after the movie’s events.

In the movie, every scene location is carefully replicated along with a few additional ones, and there will be scenes reminiscent of iconic moments, like the thrilling kitchen sequence that I’m sure everyone recognizes.
It appears that the first-person game is not yet fully developed, which means it won’t be showcased at Gamescom. Instead, a behind-the-scenes trailer has been released. However, progress on the project is ongoing, and it seems the team’s aspirations for the game are well-placed.
As a thrill-seeker, I’m eagerly anticipating that our journey will demand cunning strategies, sneaky maneuvers, and ingenious problem-solving to face formidable opponents – creatures so lethal they once roamed the earth like no other! This adventure seems more akin to the nail-biting survival horror of Alien: Isolation than your average shoot-em-up.
The blurb continues:
Explorers are invited to traverse through the diverse areas within the park, confronting potential hazards along the way. Make full use of the tools available and come up with clever strategies to overcome the numerous perils that abound in Isla Nublar.
Of course, the launch date hasn’t been set yet since it seems we’re still some distance from that point, but it’s comforting to see that Saber Interactive has made a decision about the game’s direction. Now, they just need to finalize all the details.
We’re excited to play this once it eventually launches.
