The verdict is in: Anthony Norman didn’t know he was being pranked.
The star of Jury Duty season two, Company Retreat, confirmed he didn’t realize the show was fake while it was being filmed, putting an end to online rumors.
“I never understood what was going on,” Anthony explained to TopMob News. “If I had, I probably would have tried to pretend I did, but I’m not a performer, and I would have likely failed.”
The first season of Jury Duty followed Ronald Gladden as he unknowingly participated in a fake trial with actors like James Marsden. The second season focused on Anthony, who thought he was a temporary employee organizing a company retreat for Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce, but was actually surrounded by actors playing his coworkers.
Despite his castmates constantly playing pranks on him, the 25-year-old remained unaware of what was happening, even after his mother expressed her worries.
You know, as a lifestyle expert, I always say trust your gut – and your mom! I remember having a conversation with my mother early on about a tricky situation, and she immediately sensed something wasn’t quite right. Honestly, looking back, I wish I’d really listened to her intuition and dug a little deeper. Moms often see things we miss, and their instincts are usually spot on!
Unlike Ronald, who explained that the crew deliberately created boring days to avoid raising his suspicions, Anthony stated he never realized he was participating in a fake documentary.

He admitted there were a few parts he found uninteresting, but they didn’t change his overall impression or lead him to any negative conclusions.
Plus, Anthony wasn’t prone to skepticism because he was in the dark about Jury Duty’s first season.
He told me, ‘After we finished filming, they showed me a photo of Ronald. I recognized his face, but I couldn’t place where I knew him from.’
Anthony confirmed he would definitely take another temporary job, even after the disappointing company retreat he recently attended.
Now that Jury Duty season two has ended, read on to check out the TV shows hitting screens soon…
