Kagurabachi Is Going on a World Tour for New Anime Premiere

The popular manga series Kagurabachi is getting an anime adaptation next year, and Shonen Jump is celebrating with a global premiere tour for the first episode. Kagurabachi, created by Takeru Hokazono, began appearing in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2023, and fans immediately started requesting an anime. Now, that wish is coming true with a major announcement and a big push from Shueisha, who hope this will be their next big success.

I’m so hyped! Kagurabachi is officially getting an anime in 2027, but get this – we won’t have to wait too long to see something! Shueisha is sending the show on a “Kagurabachi World Tour” this summer, showing off the first episode footage. It all leads up to a full world premiere in Japan next year! Seriously, this is going to be huge for fans!

Kagurabachi Anime Announces World Tour for Premiere

I’m so excited about the Kagurabachi World Tour! While they haven’t announced all the dates and locations yet, it’s starting with some special events this summer. The tour will let us see the first 20 minutes of Episode 1, and it’ll all build up to the full premiere in Japan next spring, before the anime officially airs. If you’re like me and can’t wait to see it, you’ll definitely want to stay tuned for announcements about when the tour is coming to your area!

Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the anime Kagurabachi! It’s scheduled to premiere in April of next year as part of the Spring 2027 anime lineup. While an exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, nor have details about where it will be streamed internationally, Tetsuya Takeuchi will direct the series for Cypic, with Keigo Sasaki handling the character designs. More staff announcements are coming soon.

Kagurabachi Voice Star Reacts to Joining New Anime

Taihi Kimura is the first voice actor announced for the anime Kagurabachi, and he expressed how thrilled he is to be part of the project. He said he’s honored to voice the main character, Chihiro, in a series so beloved by fans worldwide. Kimura drew a parallel between the forging of a katana—strengthened by repeatedly folding the steel—and Chihiro’s quiet but determined spirit. He promises to dedicate himself fully to the role, hoping to capture Chihiro’s strong will and make it connect with viewers.

I have to say, ever since Kagurabachi first came out, everyone’s been asking about it! It’s funny, because at first, people seemed to pick it up as a bit of a joke – it looked like it was going to be super dark and intense. But it totally flipped the script! It quickly became a series we all genuinely loved watching unfold, and now even more people are going to understand why it’s become such a huge hit. I’m really excited for them to experience it!
