Kevin Federline is concerned that Britney Spears is not getting stronger.
DJ Kevin Federline, who was married to Britney Spears from 2004 to 2007 and shares two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, reveals in his upcoming book, *You Thought You Knew* (to be released October 21st), that he’s worried about his ex-wife’s health and overall well-being.
According to an excerpt from his memoir published in The New York Times on October 14th, Kevin feels the situation with Britney is quickly heading towards a point of no return, and it’s no longer possible to maintain a facade of normalcy.
He warned that time is running out and a crisis is likely if things don’t improve. His biggest worry is that the next generation will be left to deal with the consequences of current problems.
Kevin, who has five children – Kori, 21, and Kaleb, 19, with his former fiancée Shar Jackson, and Jordan, 12, and Peyton, 9, with his wife Victoria Prince – revealed that his sons told him they didn’t want to return to their mother’s home, and they were partly afraid to do so.
He recalls nights when they’d wake up to find her standing in the doorway, silently watching them. She’d ask, seemingly surprised, ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ while holding a knife. Then, without saying anything, she’d simply turn and walk away.

The reality star also discussed a difficult night in January 2008 when the singer, known for the song “Stronger,” was hospitalized after a three-hour disagreement involving their children. He described it as one of the toughest nights of his life, leading to a 72-hour involuntary psychiatric hold.
He remembered feeling deeply upset by what she was experiencing. She wasn’t just someone he knew – she was someone he’d loved, someone he’d shared his life with, and the mother of his children.
Kevin also brought up the 2021 end of Britney’s conservatorship. He acknowledged the “Free Britney” movement, which began with fans wanting to help, but felt it eventually turned into unfairly blaming those around her.
He continued, saying that everyone who worked so hard on the previous issue should now focus that same energy on supporting Britney. He emphasized that this isn’t just about her regaining independence anymore; it’s about her well-being and safety.

Kevin’s main priority is the safety of Sean and Jayden, and he’s asking for help from anyone who feels empathy for Britney and wants to support her and her sons.
He urges people to help, explaining that the situation has become too large for him to handle alone. He’s protected them for a long time, but now he feels it’s critical to raise awareness and ask for broader support.
Kevin recently shared details about his relationship with Britney, telling the New York Times that although they haven’t talked for years, he’s always supported her.
He explained that he’s always just wanted his sons to have a strong connection with their mother. It’s been difficult, though, because his children never really got to know the woman he fell in love with. He’s spent the last twenty years trying to help them understand who she was.
