Now that her husband, Jalen Brunson, has helped the New York Knicks win an NBA Championship, Ali Brunson says the best place on earth isn’t Disney World – it’s home with their 22-month-old daughter, Jordyn.
She shared that after the season, she’s looking forward to relaxing with barbecues, pool time, and spending time with Jordyn, along with the team captain and star point guard, age 29, in a recent interview with TopMob News.
After the team celebrates its historic season – and the end of their 53-year championship drought – with a ticker-tape parade on June 18th, the player plans to enjoy some simple pleasures. She said she’s looking forward to things like taking walks on the beach.
There’s a good possibility they might be spending time with Jalen’s close friend and current Knicks teammate Josh Hart. The two were college teammates at Villanova University, winning an NCAA championship together in 2016—Jalen then won another title with Villanova two years later. They could also be with Josh’s wife, Shannon Hart.
Sitting high atop her depth chart, Shannon told TopMob News, “just like chill, family time.”
The 31-year-old shooting guard and her three-year-old twins, Hendrix and Haze, have some vacations planned and are looking forward to plenty of rest. What she’s most excited about? “Just not having to constantly travel and be on the go – it will be nice to relax at home.”

That’s not to say she won’t still be suiting up for her main gig as a registered nurse.
She shared that she was drawn to medicine because she enjoys connecting with and assisting others. As a nurse, she particularly values the direct, personal interaction – being present with patients, understanding their needs, and providing support.”
Although she doesn’t receive grand public celebrations, her successes make a huge difference in the lives of those she cares for.
There’s nothing better than seeing things go well for patients—whether that’s when they finally get to go home, or when you’ve helped them recover comfortably after surgery and they’re no longer in pain.
That’s the same reason Ali mastered the Xs and Os of physical therapy.
The founder of The AMB Method explains that it’s incredibly rewarding to help patients recover from surgery and regain their former abilities. They see people at their lowest point after an operation, and being able to guide them back to health and a normal life is truly fulfilling.
Shannon shared that she sometimes offers advice to her husband, but he doesn’t usually take it. She joked that he’d rather consult his team doctor, saying, “Okay, you do that,” when she tries to help.
Ali explained that they maintain clear professional boundaries – she focuses on her own client and he works with his team. She also admitted she isn’t aware of all the details regarding his work, so she refers clients to him when necessary.
That’s not to say they don’t play a critical role on the greater squad.
After years of supporting each other – through college sports victories and past NBA playoffs – they both deeply understand the game.
Shannon explained that her husband is usually pretty calm before a game. After the game, though, it depends on the outcome and how he played. She’s learned that if he’s bothered by something, it’s best to give him space that night to process his thoughts, and he’ll likely want to talk about it the next morning.

As a former college soccer player at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Shannon understands the pressure athletes face. She’s learned to stay calm during stressful games, taking things one step at a time and avoiding extreme reactions, whether good or bad.
Everyone has their own routines before and during games. Ali shared that, while partnering with Reese’s Oreo Cups alongside Shannon, she tries to synchronize her breathing with Jalen when he shoots free throws. She always makes sure to wear jewelry from their wedding too – it’s a non-negotiable for good luck!
Shannon said she always wears her cross necklace and prays during the national anthem before each game.
Enjoying a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup before a game is a great idea! And if you want to take it to the next level, professional soccer player Ali Krieger shared a childhood trick: letting the candy sit in the sun to get soft and then eating it with a spoon – she says it was a delicious treat.

Shannon chose a particular purse to bring to Madison Square Garden during the Knicks’ incredible win against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4. When it was time to travel to Texas for Game 5, she decided to try and get the same purse again.
She described it as an unbelievable comeback, likely the most dramatic anyone will ever witness, and immediately knew she had to retrieve her purse.
Clearly Karl-Anthony Towns‘ fiancé Jordyn Woods isn’t the only one with a bit of bag juju.
In fact, all of NYC seemed to get their game faces on, noted Ali.
She emphasized that you could really feel the city’s excitement, and this year it was particularly noticeable – different from how it felt even at the beginning of the season. While everyone is excited to celebrate their win at the parade, she also pointed out that many people deserve recognition as ‘most valuable partners’.

Jordyn Woods got exactly what she wished for this Christmas: a proposal from Karl-Anthony Towns! The model playfully wrote “Marry Christmas” on Instagram, sharing a photo of the basketball player getting down on one knee at Overstory, a stylish bar high up in a New York City skyscraper.
Though her impressive engagement ring has gotten a lot of attention since 2024, what really makes their relationship work is simply enjoying each other’s company. She shared in 2021, during her Instagram series Regular-ish, that dating your best friend is special because you already have such a deep understanding of each other – the good parts and the bad – after going through so much together.

Singer Coco Jones clarified that she wasn’t intentionally keeping her relationship with basketball player Donovan Mitchell a secret, but simply wasn’t ready to share those details publicly. Appearing on Club Shay Shay in March 2025, Jones explained, “I don’t like feeling like I have to hide anything, or make someone feel like they belong to me.”
The actress from Bel-Air explained that she values her privacy, saying, “I’m focused on protecting myself, my family, and the people I care about.”
She seems incredibly happy and in love with the seven-time NBA All-Star, who proposed by the ocean in July 2025 and even shared drone footage of the moment. As she prepares for her wedding, she described the feeling as “unexplainable” to TopMob News at the 2026 Grammys, saying that despite attending many events and fittings, this experience is truly different.

When Jayson Tatum suffered a serious Achilles injury during the 2025 playoffs, he considered retiring from basketball. As the Boston Celtics star forward told TopMob News, he initially thought, “I’ve achieved enough, maybe it’s time to stop.” However, the support of his family convinced him to keep playing, reminding him of those he would disappoint if he quit.
He was thinking about his sons, Deuce (from a previous relationship) and Dylan, as well as his girlfriend, singer Ella Mai. The six-time All-Star explained that he wanted to use the situation to teach his kids about making tough decisions. He wanted them to understand that everyone faces choices in life, and he wanted to show them how he navigated his own. He hoped it would inspire them to think about the choices they would make in their own lives.
She and her partner, the artist known for “Boo’d Up,” made a deliberate choice not to publicly discuss the details of their relationship, which has lasted over five years. In a December 2025 interview with Capital XTRA, she explained that because she hadn’t announced the relationship herself, people seemed unsure of how to address it. However, she emphasized that she isn’t hiding the fact that she has a child.
As a mom, I’m always thinking about balance. I love sharing my passion for music with my son, but I’m careful not to force it on him. I definitely play a lot of music around the house, hoping it will naturally become a part of his life, but I want him to develop his own tastes too! I don’t want him looking back and feeling like I was constantly pushing my preferences on him, especially as we approach 2024.

Joel Embiid, the star player for the Philadelphia 76ers, first met his future wife, Anne de Palma, at a dinner in 2018 through a friend they both knew. However, he didn’t immediately pursue a romantic relationship. As Anne de Palma told ESPN in 2021, their connection began as a strong friendship.
They both came to the U.S. from different countries—he moved from Cameroon as a teenager to pursue basketball, and she, a Brazilian model, started working at fourteen. They quickly discovered they had two things in common: they both spoke French and loved soccer. De Palma explained that they began FaceTiming daily, and she soon realized he was incredibly supportive and inspiring. “He just has this way of motivating people,” she said.
In September 2020, three years after first appearing in the SI Swimsuit issue, and seven-time All-Star Joel Embiid welcomed his son, Arthur – named in honor of his brother who tragically passed away in a car accident in 2014. The couple later married in the Hamptons. De Palma told ESPN that Embiid, a center for the Philadelphia 76ers, inspires everyone around him to improve and is exactly the kind of person you want in your life.

A’ja Wilson, a superstar in the WNBA and a four-time MVP by 2025 while playing for the Las Vegas Aces, is also a supportive partner to her boyfriend, Bam Adebayo. When Adebayo, the Miami Heat’s center, broke Kobe Bryant’s scoring record with an incredible 83 points against the Washington Wizards on March 10, 2026, he acknowledged Wilson’s consistent support as key to his success.
It’s really special to see her play her first game here,” said the three-time All-Star in a video posted on social media by the NBA. “Everything that goes on behind the scenes – the training, the talks we have – is incredibly motivating. And watching what she does on the court is truly inspiring. I’m so grateful to have her in my life.
She also expressed her gratitude to those who helped her along the way. When the University of South Carolina honored her with a jersey retirement in 2025, Wilson said, “I owe everything to the love, support, and sacrifices of so many people. It means the world to have my closest family and friends here today, especially a certain Olympic athlete who traveled to be here.”

WNBA star Angel Reese recently said she’s decided to keep her romantic life private going forward. On her podcast, Unapologetically Angel, in January 2025, she explained that she won’t publicly announce a relationship until she’s married. “You might spot me on a date,” she joked, “but I’m not sharing any pictures of whoever I’m with on social media.”
Rumors are swirling that WNBA star Angel Reese, nicknamed “Bayou Barbie,” is dating Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. She hinted at the relationship on TikTok with a post about receiving a large bouquet of roses, saying it was a clear sign she has found someone special. Adding fuel to the speculation, Carter Jr. was seen at the 2025 WNBA All-Star game wearing a t-shirt featuring Reese’s face.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Our NCAA champion – and he’s going to be on season two of The Hunting Wives?! – actually came to a Magic game in December 2025… wearing a jersey that said “My Man”! I nearly lost it. He was returning the support after I, well, let’s just say I showed him some love at his events. It was EVERYTHING.

Model Winnie Harlow is still carefully planning her wedding to Milwaukee Bucks player Kyle Kuzma. In September 2025, she told TopMob News that they were working on finalizing details seven months after his Valentine’s Day proposal in Turks and Caicos so they could start moving forward with arrangements.
The key to my ideal date is a relaxed, tropical atmosphere,” the former America’s Next Top Model contestant shared. “I love warm weather and being able to dance – that’s just my personality.”
Kuzma is sure to contribute with important plays on the court, especially after recently getting engaged while vacationing on an island. He revealed to Vogue that he didn’t ask his fiancée about her ring preferences beforehand. Instead, he designed an 8.5-carat diamond ring based on his vision of her personality—something classic, simple, and elegant.

Rapper GloRilla, from Memphis, was happy to see a play made by Grizzlies forward Brandon Ingram during the team’s Thanksgiving game against the New Orleans Pelicans in 2024. When asked about it, she told Complex magazine in 2025, “That’s all I’m going to say!”
She excitedly responded with “Let’s go!” when asked about the two-time All-Star, who now plays for the Toronto Raptors. After dating for over a year, she told Complex that they prefer to keep their relationship private. “I don’t want to talk too much about it because I like our privacy,” she explained. “We generally stay out of the public eye.”
Occasionally, though, she really lets loose and shows off her skills. She hinted at this in an Instagram post from January 2026, writing, “Sometimes I’ll let him do his thing – just like a slam dunk!”

Savannah Brinson is arguably the real star of the James family. She and LeBron James were a team long before he won championships with players like Dwyane Wade, Kyrie Irving, and Anthony Davis. On their first date at an Outback Steakhouse in Akron, Ohio, Savannah – a cheerleader and softball player – never imagined that the basketball player from her rival high school would become such a dominant force in the NBA. As she told Harper’s Bazaar, she initially thought his success would be limited to being a local hero.
About ten years later, she married the top pick from the 2003 draft in a lavish ceremony. The event was incredibly popular, and featured a performance by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who sang their famous song “Crazy in Love.”
Now living in Los Angeles with their three children in a $23 million home – where James plays for the Lakers – he shared in a November 2019 post how much he relies on his wife. He wrote, “I can perform at my best, both on and off the court, because my best friend always supports me, no matter what!” He playfully added, “I’m just the car, she’s the one who makes everything go!”

Kawhi Leonard, known for his incredible defense and twice named the league’s best defensive player, is also very private about his personal life. He’s been with Kishele Shipley, a fellow graduate from San Diego State University, for over ten years, but they haven’t publicly confirmed whether they are married. Fans were surprised to find out in April 2019 that Leonard missed a game because Shipley had given birth to their second child, a son named Mark. Neither Leonard nor Shipley has an active public Instagram account.
According to his former coach, Gregg Popovich, Kawhi Leonard isn’t interested in fame. Even his daughter, Kaliyah Leonard, wasn’t fazed by big moments – when the Toronto Raptors won the championship in 2019, the four-year-old fell asleep during the victory parade!

It’s surprising, but NBA star Steph Curry was initially rejected when he tried to kiss his now-wife, Ayesha. While they were hanging out as friends from their youth group days, Steph went in for a kiss, and Ayesha turned her head away.
She happily shared with TopMob News’ Jason Kennedy in October 2017, “We got a second chance!” A few years after their first kiss at her parents’ house in Charlotte, he proposed in the same spot. He later told Parents magazine it felt like a scene straight out of the movie The Notebook.
After getting married in 2011, Ayesha and her husband soon found out they were expecting their first child, a daughter named Riley, who would later become known for charming the media. Ayesha worried this would make it difficult to establish a successful career.
Over the past decade, she’s expanded her family with three more children—Ryan, born in 2015, and brothers Canon and Caius, arriving in 2018 and 2024—and built a successful lifestyle brand. She’s now a cookbook author, appears on the Food Network, works as a model, and dedicates herself to philanthropic work.
Please avoid referring to her as a “basketball wife.” She cleverly noted in an interview with ABC News that just like a chef wouldn’t be called “chef’s wife,” she doesn’t believe her husband would define himself that way either.

It’s sweet when someone consistently shows who they are! Back in 2016, basketball player Bradley Beal took his now-wife on a Ferris wheel ride in Las Vegas and asked her to be his girlfriend. Four years and two sons, Bradley Jr. and Braylon, later, he recreated the moment on a Ferris wheel in Maryland. In a clip from January 2020, the three-time All-Star proposed, asking her to be his wife.
Her answer, of course, was an unequivocal yes. “No one else id rather spend my life with,” wrote the XO By Kamiah founder, who welcomed third son Braxton in 2022 ahead of their vows. “Thank you for helping me evolve into the woman I’ve become, and for constantly challenging me to become better each and everyday.”

As St. Joe’s best offensive player for two consecutive seasons in the mid-2000s, guard Ayahna Cornish-Lowry isn’t your typical courtside cheerleader. Sharing with Canadian lifestyle site The Kit in 2019 that she prefers “to be close to the action,” the mom of sons Karter Lowry and Kameron Lowry said she doesn’t just zero in on her husband Kyle Lowry.
She isn’t just watching Kyle; she studies the entire Philadelphia 76ers’ playbook. She explains, “I try to get a feel for everything happening in the game, observing the whole team and how they play. I really enjoy analyzing it as a basketball fan.”
She isn’t hesitant to share her opinions on how the six-time All-Star and Olympic gold medalist is playing. She explained that he often seeks her input, even during timeouts – they’ve been close since high school at Cardinal Dougherty in Philadelphia. She tries to subtly point out things she notices during the game, hoping he’ll understand.

Draymond Green, the Warriors’ energetic four-time All-Star, is known for being direct and bold. So it wasn’t surprising that his January 2019 proposal to Hazel Renee was an extravagant affair! He swept her away in a helicopter to a yacht packed with loved ones – including their children, Olive Jay and Draymond Jamal Green Jr. – and presented her with a stunning six-carat diamond ring from Jason of Beverly Hills. The news was even shared with the public when Golden State coach Steve Kerr let it slip to the press.
The couple had originally planned to renew their wedding vows during a trip back to the Olympics, but COVID-19 changed those plans. Instead, they welcomed their daughter, Cash, in October 2020.
He shared in a 2020 birthday message that the past has been incredible. He also said she’s always been the steady, supportive center of their family, through both happy and difficult times.
After getting married in 2022—with photos of their wedding featured in Vogue—they welcomed their daughter, Hunni, in 2023, and another child in February 2026.

Sacramento Kings point guard Russell Westbrook is famous for his scoring ability, but in a March 2020 Instagram video, he happily played the role of supportive husband, enthusiastically cheering on his wife, Nina, as she skillfully made basket after basket. Interestingly, Nina isn’t just a great shooter – she’s now a licensed marriage and couples therapist! Years earlier, while playing for UCLA, she noticed a talented young point guard (Russell himself!) playfully wink at her after he scored a fast break dunk. According to reports, she complimented his game that night, and he charmingly replied that it was easy to play well when you had someone special to play for.
It’s been over ten years since they started their amazing Why Not? foundation, but honestly, watching them balance that with raising Noah and their adorable twin daughters, Skye and Jordyn, is truly inspiring. They still make time for simple things like a cozy dinner and movie night! I was so touched by what she shared on Father’s Day – she said there’s absolutely nothing he wouldn’t do to make their kids laugh and feel joyful. She described him as the coolest dad ever, full of fun, and just completely devoted to his family.

It’s become a running joke that Utah Jazz player Kevin Love gets almost as much attention in Sports Illustrated as Kate Bock, a swimsuit model who’s been featured in the magazine since winning Rookie of the Year in 2013. Luckily, Love isn’t jealous! He publicly congratulated Bock on her 2020 cover, writing that it perfectly captured her beauty and expressing how proud he was of her.
Over a year after proposing to his partner at a January 2021 birthday party, the five-time All-Star basketball player married them in a ceremony held at the New York Public Library.
Kate told Vogue they wanted their wedding to feel like an old-fashioned New York City party inspired by The Great Gatsby, with a black and white theme. Planning the overall vibe was simple, she explained, but getting all the little details right – from choosing linens to figuring out seating arrangements and where to prepare for the day – proved challenging.
Life changed so beautifully for them when they started planning for the future! I was thrilled to hear about their daughter, James, arriving in June 2023, and then again when little Leighton joined the family on Valentine’s Day in 2025. It’s been wonderful watching their family grow.

It’s clear Chris Paul comes from basketball royalty when you look at who attended his wedding! LeBron James and his wife were in the wedding party, and other huge stars like Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Gabrielle Union, LaLa Anthony, Ludacris, and Kevin Hart all came to celebrate his marriage to Jada Crawley back in 2011. Robin Thicke even performed as the wedding musician!
Although a performance by gospel singer BeBe Winans and a beautiful display of around 10,000 flowers were part of the event, Russell Westbrook values having a strong teammate above all else.
From the moment they met at Wake Forest University, he’s been deeply in love with Jada, saying she’s supported him through everything. The retired basketball player told Essence magazine that Jada, who is a mother to Christopher II and Camryn, is incredibly special to him. He explained that his career won’t last forever, but their genuine connection and enjoyment of each other’s company will.

Within the Horford family, Al Horford’s wife is a star in her own right. Amelia Vega is both a model and singer, having earned the titles of Miss Dominican Republic in 2002 and Miss Universe in 2003.
Even though it took a couple of meetings – the first at the Latin Pride Awards in Boston and the second four years later while collaborating on a campaign for children with cancer – the five-time All-Star, who was born in the Dominican Republic, quickly felt sure he’d met his life partner.
I remember when we first started dating – it quickly became clear she was the one for me. It just felt right, you know? Honestly, I used to be a bit of a cynic, always joking around and doubting things like true love. But with her, everything felt different. From early on, I knew I wanted to spend my life with her and marry her.
After more than ten years of marriage, the University of Florida alumnus—who shares five children, Ean, Alía, Ava, Nova, and Mila, with his wife, a Miami boutique owner—says, “Married life is fantastic. We’re creating a wonderful life together.”

In 2008, while playing freshman basketball at UCLA, Portland Trailblazers guard Jrue Holiday was mistaken for his teammate Darren Collison by a fan at a women’s basketball game. Lauren Holiday, who played soccer for the Bruins and witnessed the mix-up, playfully told the fan, “Don’t worry, you’re cuter than Darren.”
Their first meeting was incredibly sweet, but what happened next was even more remarkable. After retiring from the national women’s team, the World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist discovered she had a brain tumor while nearly five months pregnant. Without hesitation, her husband, Jrue, took a leave of absence from his NBA career in 2016 to support her through the successful removal of the tumor.
Lauren shared a heartfelt Father’s Day message, praising her husband as a loving father to their children, Jrue and Hendricks. She wrote that he consistently demonstrates unconditional love, always being there for them through good times and bad, and never letting his challenges affect how much he gives to his family.

Not long after finishing his college basketball career at Butler University, retired forward Gordon Hayward proposed to Robyn Hayward, a recent high school graduate, on Christmas Eve in 2013. They married the following May, and the couple—both athletes, as Robyn excelled in volleyball during high school—have been growing their family ever since.
In September 2020, Gordon welcomed his son, Theo, joining his other children: daughters Bernie, Charlie, and Nora. This happened while Gordon was playing with the Boston Celtics in the NBA bubble.
Even though they’re managing a busy household with four young children, the couple hasn’t completely dismissed the idea of having another baby. Describing her kids in a recent post, she shared that Bernie is kind and calm, Charlie is independent and follows her own schedule, Nora is assertive and fearless, and Theo remains relaxed and easygoing. She jokingly tagged her husband, Gordon Hayward, asking if he’d be up for expanding their family.
