Kyle Cooke is seeking answers.
Following the dramatic end of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship on Summer House, Bravo’s new show, In The City, captured the aftermath. The first episode featured Kyle confronting Amanda about what happened, after they revealed their breakup in March.
During their conversation on May 19th, he told his wife he wanted to support her, but also wanted to address what happened between them. He felt like she had ended their relationship during the summer and wanted to understand what had gone wrong.
Amanda, however, disagreed with his assessment.
She explained, her voice filled with emotion, that she’d put her whole heart into the relationship because she desperately wanted it to succeed. The thought of a life without him was unbearable, which made ending things incredibly difficult.
That’s why things got so complicated,” she explained, “because I was terrified that if we broke up, we’d completely lose touch—and I just couldn’t cope with that.
Kyle explained that there were times when Amanda seemed completely ready to end the relationship. She later admitted she’d almost given up, but was still trying her best to make things work.
Kyle questioned if Amanda and the 31-year-old, West, had become emotionally involved with each other towards the end of last year. Amanda insisted nothing was going on, but Kyle hinted he’d heard otherwise, saying, “But I hear things.”

Amanda refuted the idea, reiterating that she was dedicated to Kyle before they split up in January.
Hearing you question my loyalty really stung,” the 34-year-old said. “It’s incredibly painful because that’s not who I am. The thought that I would ever be unfaithful, especially after experiencing that myself with you, is really hurtful.
Kyle doesn’t believe Amanda is a bad person, but he feels her actions were careless and didn’t consider others. Despite this, he wants to continue being a good friend to her.
When Amanda came to his apartment, he immediately noticed she’d lost weight and told her he was concerned. She simply responded, “I’m worried about myself, too.”

After Kyle voiced his worry about her well-being once more, Amanda responded by saying she understood his concern, but clarified that it wasn’t something he needed to take on himself.
The first episode of In The City was released on the same day the trailer for the Summer House reunion aired. The reunion itself had been filmed a few weeks earlier, in April.
Ciara Miller didn’t hesitate to share her strong feelings about Amanda and West’s relationship, directly confronting Amanda in a dramatic scene.

The first episode of In The City was released on the same day the trailer for the Summer House reunion aired. The reunion itself had been filmed a few weeks earlier, in late April.
Ciara Miller didn’t hide her feelings about Amanda and West’s relationship, and she directly confronted Amanda about it in a dramatic scene.
Ciara confronted her former friend, saying she was shocked and angry to learn they were now dating her ex. She believed her ex was intentionally trying to hurt her and get a final word in, and suspected he was with her friend simply to get back at her, hoping it would cause her pain.
The tenth season of Summer House will be wrapping up with a three-part reunion, starting May 26th. Before then, here’s a full recap of all the season’s drama.

I was so thrilled to watch Ciara Miller and West Wilson fall for each other on Summer House last season! It was amazing to see their connection develop, and I’m happy to say they’ve continued their relationship off-screen – they really made it work in 2023!
However, their romance wouldn’t last long, with the costars breaking up at the end of that year.
Their difficult breakup created tension at the summer house for the next two years, as Ciara wrestled with whether to forgive the sports reporter for hurting her and potentially try to rebuild their relationship.

After a rocky four-year marriage, Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke have decided to separate, just before the tenth season of their Bravo series airs in 2026.
The couple announced on Instagram on January 19th that they have decided to separate. They shared a joint statement saying the decision was mutual and made with respect for each other, and they asked for privacy and support as they both focus on moving forward and healing.
Okay, so Amanda and Kyle – seriously, my absolute favorites – they got married back in September 2021, and they just posted something that totally broke my heart. They said it feels weird even asking for privacy because they’ve always been so open about everything with their relationship, which is why I love them so much! But they’re going through something, and they just asked for everyone to be kind and respectful as they figure things out. Honestly, all I want is for them to be happy, and I’ll definitely respect their space. I just… I’m really worried about them!
The show gave viewers an intimate look at the couple’s struggles as their relationship fell apart.

News started circulating quickly about a possible romance between Amanda and West after the gossip blog Deuxmoi reported on March 5th that the two actors were seen looking cozy together in New York City.
Addressing rumors about their connection, West dismissed the speculation during a March 24th appearance on Watch What Happens Live. He explained that she was recently single and had previously dated people she’d met while out with him. He clarified they were simply spending time together in New York, and he was just showing her around the city.
The journalist said, “She’s a close friend—someone I really care about.”

After news spread about a possible relationship between West and Amanda, some of their colleagues spoke out about the rumors.
On March 29th, Carl Radke posted a confused-looking photo to his Instagram Stories. Lindsay Hubbard and KJ Dillard followed suit, sharing similar expressions of bewilderment on their own social media accounts.
Austen Kroll, a fellow reality TV star and friend to several cast members of Summer House, shared a message on his Instagram Stories on March 29th. He wrote, “Pasta and dating your friends’ exes are apparently trending again.”

I was shocked, but not entirely surprised, when Amanda and West finally addressed everything in a joint statement on Instagram on March 31st. It turned out the rumors we’d been hearing were, unfortunately, true. It was a huge moment when they finally confirmed it together.
We never meant to keep our relationship a secret,” the message on their Instagram Stories explained. “Because things were complicated, and with so much attention from the reality show, we needed some time to figure things out privately before talking about it publicly.
We understand this situation has only affected us and we never intended to cause any pain or seem irresponsible. We’re grateful for your understanding and respect as we work through this.

Just as West and Amanda revealed they were dating, Ciara was seen in New York City with a friend who was offering her support. She also started getting messages of encouragement from friends and fellow cast members on social media, as people within the Bravo TV community began choosing sides in the dramatic love triangle.
Amanda’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Kyle Cooke, appeared to make light of their ongoing issues by sharing a selfie with Ciara on Instagram on March 30th.
Paige DeSorbo, known from Summer House, publicly showed her support for Ciara on Instagram, simply writing, “Ur perfect.” Lindsay Hubbard and Dara Levitan, a new cast member on season 10, also voiced their support, with Lindsay commenting “Perfection” and Dara adding, “And that’s how you do it.”

Two days after Amanda and West went public, Kyle slammed his former friend for moving in on his ex.
He told journalist Adam Glyn in a TikTok video posted in April that he felt deeply betrayed. “He completely ended our friendship, and I don’t understand – what happened to loyalty between friends?”
Kyle also insinuated West’s intentions were calculated.
He told Adam that West is skilled at understanding his audience and knows exactly how to appeal to women. He added that while people are celebrating West’s supposed change for the better, it’s clear West was intentionally flattering them all along.

Ciara’s longtime BFF Paige DeSorbo made it clear whose side she’s on amid the fallout.
We’re truly good friends with Ciara, and we’ve been there for her, offering support and comfort,” a former Summer House cast member revealed on the April 3rd episode of their Giggly Squad podcast. “We fully support her, and we would never try to profit from her difficult time.
Paige went on to share “the final thing” she was going to say about the situation.
Paige described Ciara as a strong, intelligent, and capable woman. She explained that Ciara will share her thoughts and feelings when she’s ready, and Paige wouldn’t presume to speak for her.

After waiting a week to process things, Ciara finally spoke up and gave a brief update on how she was doing.
Ciara, at the premiere of Euphoria season three on April 7th, told Entertainment Tonight she’s doing very well despite the recent attention surrounding Amanda and West’s relationship.

Ciara showed she wasn’t bothered by Amanda and West’s new relationship, playfully dismissing it while she hosted the red carpet event for the premiere of HBO Max’s Euphoria season three.
Ciara jokingly asked Sydney Sweeney, whose character on HBO often finds herself in complicated love lives, what she thought would happen if someone dated their friend’s ex-boyfriend. She posed the question during an event on April 7th.
Sydney, who plays Cassie Howard on the show, reacted with discomfort when asked about her character starting a relationship with Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), the ex-boyfriend of her character’s best friend, Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie). She simply said, “It’s not good.”
Ciara, age 30, directly told her partner what she wanted for their future: “I think we should get married.”

Following a week of backlash, Amanda broke her silence to address angry fans.
In a post on Instagram Stories on April 10, the 34-year-old apologized to everyone they had hurt or disappointed, particularly those they had contacted directly.
She explained that she’s trying to get back to a more normal life for her own well-being. If people see her out and about or active online, she wants them to understand she’s still deeply affected by what happened and hasn’t forgotten it.
Plus, she promised fans will get more answers to their myriad of questions soon.
Amanda confirmed she’ll be at the reunion and promised to answer everyone’s questions openly and honestly when she’s there.

Almost three weeks after West and Amanda revealed their relationship, Ciara finally spoke directly about the controversy for the first time.
Ciara recently told Glamour magazine that dealing with personal heartbreak is hard enough, but having it play out in public adds another level of difficulty. She specifically mentioned the added pain of watching what she considered her life continue on television in season 10 of a show, calling it incredibly disorienting.
The woman, age 30, said she was much closer to Amanda before the scandal came to light, but she and West were trying to improve their relationship. Because of that previous closeness, she felt Amanda’s actions were a deeper betrayal than West’s.
Ultimately, people will be people,” Ciara explained. “Regardless of whether or not Russell and I are together, you can’t always predict what someone will do. What’s most surprising to me is that it would be Amanda, who I’ve considered a friend and supporter for so long. That’s what I find hardest to believe.
