Kyle Cooke Slams West Wilson’s “Brutal” Summer House Reunion Behavior

Summer should be fun. Reunions not so much.

Kyle Cooke criticized his Summer House co-star, West Wilson, for how he acted at the season 10 reunion of the Bravo show.

After people noticed that West was unusually silent in audio recordings from the April 23 filming, Kyle – who is currently divorcing Amanda Batula – explained that West hadn’t been supportive of his soon-to-be ex-wife when they were questioned about their new, and controversial, relationship.

According to the founder of Loverboy, the person they’re referring to is all talk and no substance, lacking both genuine intention and moral principles. He wrote on Threads on April 28th that the recent reunion was a difficult experience, and he doesn’t remember a single instance where this person supported Amanda.

Viewers will have to tune in to the reunion show to find out how West explains his actions after leaving Ciara Miller for her close friend. However, West previously defended Amanda, asking people to stop attacking her as the drama surrounding their complicated relationship unfolded.

He joked on the April 20th episode of his podcast, Show Me Something, that he wishes people would just share their opinions or criticisms directly with him.

The 31-year-old hopes to repair his friendships with his former co-stars after the controversy involving him and Amanda.

The most difficult thing about all of this, he said, is that his actions have caused pain to people he cares about. He’s looking forward to an upcoming reunion where he can apologize to them in person and address the misinformation that’s been spreading online.

And it certainly sounds like plenty of “crazy s–t” was said during the show’s reunion taping.

Andy Cohen said the recent reunion was incredibly emotional – and exhausting to film. Speaking on his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, he described a scene filled with intense feelings, including both anger and hurt.

The Watch What Happens Live host explained that this situation had a bigger impact on the group than even she expected. She said it was really intense to see and hear how the housemates were affected.

Ciara Miller and West Wilson found love on the set of Summer House season eight and continued their relationship off-screen in 2023.

However, their romance wouldn’t last long, with the costars breaking up at the end of that year.

Their difficult breakup created tension at the summer house for the next two years, as Ciara wrestled with whether to forgive the sports reporter for hurting her and potentially try to rebuild their relationship.

After a rocky four-year marriage, Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke have decided to separate, just before the tenth season of their Bravo series airs in 2026.

The couple announced on Instagram on January 19th that they have decided to separate. They shared a joint statement saying the decision was mutual and made with respect for each other. They asked for privacy and support as they both focus on moving forward and healing.

Amanda and Kyle, who got married in September 2021, shared that it feels strange to ask for privacy after being so open about their relationship. They appreciate everyone’s kindness and respect as they begin a new phase of their lives.

The show gave viewers an intimate look at the couple’s struggles as their relationship fell apart.

Rumors started circulating quickly about a possible romance between Amanda and West after the gossip blog Deuxmoi reported on March 5th that the two actors were seen behaving flirtatiously in New York City.

Addressing rumors, West dismissed the speculation during a March 24th appearance on Watch What Happens Live. He explained that she was recently single and that he was simply showing her around New York, as he has with others she’s dated before. He stated, “She’s single now and it happened already to other people she’s hung out with. We were just hanging out in New York. She’s single now, I gotta show her the streets a little.”

The journalist said, “She’s a close friend—someone I really care about.”

After news spread about a possible relationship between West and Amanda, some of their colleagues talked about the rumors.

I noticed something really strange happening on Instagram yesterday! Carl Radke posted a super confused-looking photo, and then Lindsay Hubbard and KJ Dillard both shared similar posts with that same ‘What the heck is going on?’ vibe. It definitely got my attention – I’m wondering what they’re reacting to!

Austen Kroll, another reality TV personality and a friend to several cast members of Summer House, shared a message on his Instagram Stories on March 29th. He wrote, ā€œPasta and dating your friends’ exes are apparently trending again.ā€

Amanda and West publicly confirmed the rumors in a joint statement on Instagram on March 31st.

We never meant to keep our relationship a secret,” they explained in a message on Instagram Stories. “Because things were complicated, and being on a reality show means everyone’s watching, we needed some time to figure things out privately before talking about it.

We understand this situation has only affected us and we never intended to cause any pain or seem irresponsible. We’re grateful for your understanding and respect as we work through this.

Just as West and Amanda revealed they were dating, Ciara was seen in New York City with a friend who was offering her support. She also started getting messages of encouragement from friends and colleagues on social media, as people within the Bravo TV community began choosing sides in the drama surrounding the new relationship.

Amanda’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Kyle Cooke, appeared to make light of their ongoing issues by posting a selfie with Ciara on Instagram on March 30th.

Paige DeSorbo, known from Summer House, showed Ciara some love with a sweet comment on Instagram, writing “Ur perfect.” Lindsay Hubbard and Dara Levitan, a new addition to season 10, also voiced their support for Ciara, with Lindsay simply writing ā€œPerfection,ā€ and Dara adding, ā€œAnd that’s how you do it.ā€

Two days after Amanda and West went public, Kyle slammed his former friend for moving in on his ex.

He told journalist Adam Glyn in a TikTok video posted in April that he felt deeply betrayed. “He completely ended our friendship, and I don’t understand – what happened to looking out for each other?”

Kyle also insinuated West’s intentions were calculated.

He told Adam that West is skilled at understanding his audience and knows exactly how to appeal to women. He continued, saying people are praising West’s supposed transformation, but it’s likely just a calculated strategy to gain support.

Ciara’s longtime BFF Paige DeSorbo made it clear whose side she’s on amid the fallout.

Okay, so I’m totally obsessed with the Giggly Squad podcast, and honestly, hearing them talk about Ciara just breaks my heart but also makes me so happy they’re real friends. They were saying on the latest episode that they’ve been checking in on her, just being there for her, which is amazing. And they were SO clear – they would never try to make money off of something so personal and awful happening to her. It’s just… good to know there are people like that, you know? I’m fully Team Ciara and the Giggly Squad forever!

Paige went on to shareĀ ā€œthe final thingā€ she was going to say about the situation.Ā

Paige emphasized that Ciara is a strong, smart, and capable woman. She explained that Ciara will share her thoughts and feelings when she’s ready, and Paige wouldn’t presume to speak for her.

After waiting a week to process things, Ciara finally spoke up and gave a brief update on how she was doing.

Ciara, at the premiere of Euphoria season three on April 7th, shared with Entertainment Tonight that she’s doing really well despite the recent, highly publicized relationship between Amanda and West.

Ciara showed she wasn’t bothered by the new relationship between Amanda and West, playfully dismissing it while she hosted the red carpet event for the premiere of HBO Max’s Euphoria season three.

Ciara jokingly asked Sydney Sweeney, referencing her character’s complicated love life on HBO, “If you start dating your friend’s ex, what happens next?” She posed the question during an event on April 7th.

Sydney, who plays Cassie Howard on the show, reacted with discomfort when asked about her character starting a relationship with Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), the ex-boyfriend of her character’s best friend, Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie). She simply said, ā€œIt’s not good.ā€

As a longtime fan, I was so excited to hear Ciara, who’s 30, being so direct! She basically told her partner, ‘You know what? It’s time we got married!’ It was refreshing to see her be so open about what she wants for their future together.

Following a week of backlash, Amanda broke her silence to address angry fans.Ā

In a recent Instagram post on April 10th, the 34-year-old apologized to anyone they had disappointed or hurt, particularly those they had contacted directly.

She explained that she’s trying to get back to a more normal life for her own well-being. She asked that if people see her out or online, they understand she’s still deeply affected by what’s happened and isn’t trying to pretend it didn’t.

Plus, she promised fans will get more answers to their myriad of questions soon.

Amanda confirmed she’ll be at the reunion and will answer everyone’s questions openly and honestly while she’s there.

Almost three weeks after West and Amanda revealed their relationship, Ciara finally spoke directly about the controversy for the first time.

Ciara recently told Glamour magazine that dealing with personal heartbreak is hard enough, but having it play out publicly adds another level of difficulty. She specifically mentioned how challenging it was to watch her past relationship depicted on season 10 of a TV show, calling it incredibly disorienting.

The woman, age 30, said she was much closer to Amanda before the scandal came to light. She also mentioned she and West were trying to improve their relationship at the time. Because of this previous closeness, she felt Amanda’s actions were a deeper betrayal than West’s.

Ultimately, people will be people,” Ciara explained. “Regardless of what’s happening with me and West, you can’t always predict what someone will do. What’s most surprising to me is that it would be Amanda, someone I’ve considered a friend and supporter for a long time. That’s the hardest part to process.”
