Wow, Landman season 2 just finished and it was incredible! Like so many others, I’m already wondering what’s next for the show. It’s quickly become one of my favorites – Taylor Sheridan has done it again! The story is so complex and gripping, following the world of oil and the politics behind it, and I’m completely hooked along with a ton of other fans.
Good news for fans! “Landman” has already been renewed for a third season, even before season two finished airing, so you won’t have to wait long for more episodes.
It’s not surprising the show is so popular, considering its impressive viewership numbers. The second season started incredibly strong, breaking Paramount’s record for the most-watched premiere ever. Within just a few days, the premiere episode reached 9.2 million viewers globally – three times the audience of its first season’s debut.
Season 3 promises to delve much deeper into the story – showrunner Christian Wallace has hinted we’ve only scratched the surface so far. But what do we know about when we can expect the new season of Landman? Here’s everything we’ve gathered so far.
Landman season 3 release date speculation

Based on the release dates of the first two seasons, we expect season 3 to premiere around November 2026. Seasons 1 and 2 both came out in November of 2024 and 2025, respectively, so if the pattern continues, we anticipate new episodes will be available later this year.
Who will return for Landman season 3?

Early on, some viewers speculated that Billy Bob Thornton might leave the show after season 2. However, Thornton previously stated to USA Today that he’s committed to Landman for as long as the creators want him. He signed a multi-year contract to play Tommy Norris and told The Hollywood Reporter that the show itself will naturally know when it’s time to end.
What’s in store for season 3 remains to be seen, but like past seasons, Tommy will likely face intense challenges involving dangerous work, wealthy individuals, and his own complicated life. Expect rising conflicts and evolving storylines, and while new characters could appear, no new cast members have been confirmed yet.
For that reason, the cast we’d expect to return for season 3 is as follows.
- Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris
- Demi Moore as Cami Miller
- Ali Larter as Angela Norris
- Michelle Randolph as Ainsley Norris
- Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris
- Paulina Chávez as Ariana Medina
- Kayla Wallace as Rebecca Falcone
- Sam Elliott as TL
- Mark Collie as Sheriff Walt Joeberg
- James Jordan as Dale Bradley
- Andy Garcia as Gallino
- Guy Burnet as Charlie Newsom
- Miriam Silverman as Greta Stidham
