So, I was watching CNBC, and this Goldman Sachs guy, John Marshall, is talking about some stock picks. Like, who asked for his opinion? But anyway, he’s saying that Interactive Brokers (IBKR) and Charles Schwab (SCHW) are doing great because of all the retail trading. 🤷♂️
“The retail activity – while they may not have been buying intensely over the last couple of months, they’ve been very active, and that should be a tailwind for both of them.”
Then, he goes on to say that John Deere (DE) might do well because of the agricultural cycle. Like, who doesn’t love a good tractor? 🚜
Goldman’s other picks include Snowflake (SNOW), Air Lease Corporation (AL), YUM! (YUM), and Hormel Foods (HRL). I mean, who doesn’t want to bet on a company that makes Spam? 🍔
But wait, there’s more! Marshall thinks some stocks might actually go down. Like, who would have thought? He mentions Restoration Hardware (RH), Southwest (LUV), and Boston Beer Company (SAM). 🤦♂️
“While they don’t report until September, that’s a name which has tough compares.”
