If Gotham City were a real place, it probably wouldn’t be a popular tourist destination. The reason? It seems to attract a lot of dangerous and unpredictable criminals.
As a video game setting, and one where you play as Batman hunting criminals, it’s a really exciting and fun world to explore. Many players are clearly eager to dive in – LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has already been wishlisted 950,000 times on Steam before its May 22nd release! If you purchase the Deluxe Edition, you can start playing three days early.
The game is engaging, largely because people compare it to Rocksteady’s Arkham series. Still, it offers enough unique content to be enjoyable on its own, and in some ways, it even surpasses what inspired it.
We’ll find out soon, and we’re really excited to start playing this game when it comes out on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
