With the game now finished and launching in about two weeks, the trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is here! If you’re a Batman fan – whether you enjoy the movies, comics, or TV series – you’ll find plenty to enjoy, starting with the iconic Seal song “Kiss From a Rose,” which was famously featured in Batman Forever.
The game includes classic Batman villains like the Joker, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and Mr. Freeze (who fights in a huge robot). You’ll also encounter Poison Ivy with her two-headed plant dragon. Beyond the villains, the game recreates famous moments from the movies, such as the Joker’s nurse disguise from The Dark Knight and the pivotal speech from Henri Ducard to Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins about becoming something greater.
The trailer also briefly shows off Catwoman, Nightwing, Commissioner Gordon, Robin, and Batgirl, all of whom players can control, each with their own special abilities and costumes. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Batman trailer without him doing that iconic sliding move on the Batcycle, inspired by the anime Akira!
On March 22nd, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. You can find out more about the game, including its PC system requirements, and get all the details in our feature article.
