Lewis Capaldi looks set to hit the top of the UK Charts after his triumphant return at Glastonbury.
On June 27, 2025, the Scottish singer, aged 28, made his musical return by unexpectedly performing on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm. This was two years after an episode with Tourette’s Syndrome during the festival prevented him from finishing a song.
After his performance in 2023 that was met with fans singing “Someone You Loved” as a gesture of solidarity, Lewis decided to step back from the limelight to concentrate on improving his mental well-being.
On a Friday, the unexpected release of the new single titled “Survive” took place, catching the fans off guard. At 4:55 PM, the artist performed, filling a time slot previously labeled as ‘Mystery Performance’ in the schedule.

It seems he’s poised for a strong comeback, as his latest single “Survive” is set to claim the No. 1 spot on the charts. The Official Charts Company reports that “Survive” has already gained over 3000 units ahead of its competitors, just two days after its release.
Should he achieve success, it would mark his sixth chart-topping single. Notably, his song “Someone You Loved” has seen renewed popularity and is expected to reenter the UK Top 40 at position 44.
Currently, the song “Dior” by MK featuring Crystal is projected to be the second most popular track, and “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter is predicted to rank third.
As a film enthusiast eagerly awaiting the latest rankings, I can confirm that the official chart will be made public this coming Friday, 4th July 2025. Until then, why not give “Survive” a listen? Enjoy!
Previously, Lewis has openly shared about his Tourette’s Syndrome in interviews and the Netflix documentary titled ‘How I’m Feeling Now’. He clarified that this neuro-condition causes him to have repetitive, involuntary body movements such as twitches and spasms.
2023 marked the pinnacle of his achievements, but an unexpected health issue – a sudden loss of speech and singing ability – disrupted his performance at Glastonbury.
He later told the crowd: “Glastonbury, I’m really sorry. I’m a bit annoyed with myself.”
Later on, Lewis declared a temporary break from live performances and concerts, explaining that he required some time to prioritize his mental well-being, with the goal of returning at his peak performance level.
On Friday, Lewis, while choking back tears, addressed the audience: “I won’t dwell on my words up here, lest I break down. I’ll keep it brief, these past three years haven’t been easy.
“This has been my goal, to get back here, doing this.”
Later on X/Twitter, he shared a note expressing his gratitude: “It’s amazing to be back at Glastonbury, thanks a bunch for inviting me!
