A new update is coming soon to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and it will add a new character you can play as.
Tomorrow, on April 29th, 2026, Goro Majima – sporting his Hawaiian shirt and pirate look from Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza – will become playable in the game.
The notorious Mad Dog from the Shimano series is now a playable character in the kart racing game, bringing a gritty edge as a representative of SEGA’s action-packed crime drama.
Since this is his first appearance as the Pirate Yakuza, his vehicle is appropriately themed – and it’s arguably the most ridiculous one in the game: a pirate ship (the Goromaru) with wheels! The downloadable content also includes unique emotes and sound effects.
This update is completely free for anyone who already owns the game. Just update the game when the patch goes live tomorrow.
Red from Angry Birds was the most recent character added, but there’s one more free character on the way: Arle from Puyo Puyo.
