Lindsie Chrisley Arrested on Suspicion of DUI, Reckless Driving

Lindsie Chrisley is facing some legal trouble.

As a big fan of Chrisley Knows Best, I was shocked to hear that Todd Chrisley was arrested on May 23rd! The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TopMob News that he was booked, but thankfully released the very next morning after posting bond. It’s definitely concerning, and I’m hoping everything gets resolved quickly.

She faced multiple charges, including trying to avoid police, unsafe lane changes, driving under the influence (DUI), reckless driving, and speeding. People magazine reported, citing the Cherokee County Jail, that the DUI charge was specifically for “DUI less safe” – a Georgia law that allows a DUI charge even if a driver’s blood alcohol level is below the legal limit or if they refuse a breathalyzer test.

After her arrest, Lindsie Chrisley—the oldest of Todd and Julie Chrisley’s five children—said she intends to contest the accusations, according to TMZ.

She explained that she was pulled over by the police after speeding. She said she’d been trying to avoid a collision with another car that had swerved to miss an animal in the road.

TopMob News has reached out to reps for Lindsie for additional comment but has not yet heard back.

This 36-year-old woman is facing legal issues just over a month after her then-boyfriend, David Landsman, was arrested on April 10th. He was charged with aggravated assault/strangulation and battery, according to police records and a statement obtained by TopMob News.

After a reported disagreement, Lindsie—mother to a 13-year-old son with her ex-husband, Will Campbell—revealed she plans to abstain from romantic relationships for the next year.

I’m really fascinated by what this former reality star is doing! She’s committed to a full year of celibacy, which is already pretty incredible, but she’s taking it a step further – she’s also decided to completely avoid talking to men for the entire 365 days. It’s a bold move, and I’m really curious to see how it goes!

I’ve been following this case closely, and the recent court filings are really disturbing. Apparently, on April 9th, things escalated between David and Lindsie. She claims David became verbally abusive, and then it turned physical. She alleges he actually strangled her and threw her to the ground. In the heat of the moment, she says she even punched him near his eyebrow while trying to defend herself. It’s all so upsetting to read.

David was arrested, and Lindsie immediately asked the court for a temporary restraining order. By May 6th, both Lindsie and David had agreed to a no-contact order, meaning they were legally required to stay at least 500 feet away from each other, their homes, and their jobs, according to court records obtained by TMZ.

TopMob News reached out to David for comment at the time but did not hear back.

After a reported argument, Lindsie—mother to a 13-year-old son with her ex-husband, Will Campbell—revealed she plans to remain celibate for the next year, sharing her current outlook on relationships.

The former reality star is challenging herself to go a full year without any romantic or platonic interactions with men, meaning she’s abstaining from both intimacy and conversation.

On her podcast, The Southern Tea, she recently shared that being authentic is the most beneficial thing she could focus on right now.

For more insight into the Chrisley family tree, read on.

Todd Chrisley is the head of the Chrisley family. Born in Georgia in April 1969 and raised in South Carolina, he first married Teresa Terry and together they had two children, Lindsie (born in 1989) and Kyle (born in 1991), before divorcing. He later married Julie Chrisley (born in South Carolina in January 1973) in 1996.

Together, Todd and Julie expanded their family with children Chase, Savannah, and Grayson, and also adopted Kyle’s daughter, Chloe. They faced challenges together, including Julie’s battle with and recovery from breast cancer in 2012.

Before becoming known for reality television, Todd built a successful real estate business, which he said accounted for 95% of the family’s income. Julie was working at a bank when they began dating. Their family life was documented on the show Chrisley Knows Best, which ran from 2014 to 2023 and led to spin-offs like Growing Up Chrisley and What’s Cooking With Julie?, as well as various podcasts.

In 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of fraud and tax crimes and initially sentenced to 12 and 7 years in prison, respectively. They maintained their innocence. However, in May 2025, President Donald Trump granted them a full pardon, leading to their release from prison.

Lindsie Todd, born in September 1989, is the oldest child of Todd and Teresa. She went to Georgia State University, where she met and later married Will Campbell in 2012. That same year, she graduated and gave birth to their son, Jackson. Two years later, the reality show Chrisley Knows Best debuted, featuring Lindsie and Will. The show documented the couple’s strained relationship, and they eventually filed for divorce in 2016. Lindsie left the show in 2017.

Following the divorce, Lindsie became estranged from her family, and a public rift developed. They didn’t publicly reconcile until 2022, appearing together on crossover episodes of their respective podcasts. Todd admitted on his podcast, Chrisley Confessions, that while the estrangement was unexpected, it was ultimately necessary.

However, the reconciliation didn’t last. By March 2025, Lindsie revealed on her podcast, The Southern Tea, that she hadn’t seen her father in a long time. The following month, she confirmed she was also estranged from her siblings. She explained on the Cate & Ty Break It Down podcast that they can coexist without necessarily agreeing or aligning, emphasizing it wasn’t out of malice, but simply that they no longer fit into each other’s lives.

After Julie and Todd were pardoned in May 2025, Lindsie shared a hopeful message on Instagram, quoting, “With God all things are possible.”

Kyle, born in August 1991, is Todd Chrisley’s oldest son from his marriage to Teresa. He has a daughter, Chloe, born in November 2012, with his ex-partner Angela Johnson, but Todd and Julie adopted Chloe in 2016.

Kyle only appeared on the first season of Chrisley Knows Best (with a quick appearance in 2021), but his past legal issues and complicated relationship with his family – including periods of estrangement and reconciliation – often made news. He’s been open about his struggles with mental health and addiction, announcing on Facebook in 2019 that he was sober.

In 2021, Kyle married Ashley Nelson and became a stepfather to her children, Haiden and Mackenzie.

He hopes to rebuild his relationship with Todd and Julie after they are released from prison. In May 2025, he told TopMob News, “I know they can’t wait to get home and just be with family, and I’m going to remain hopeful that another reconciliation is possible.”

Chase Chrisley, born in June 1996, is the first child of Todd and Julie Chrisley. He gained recognition appearing on the reality shows Chrisley Knows Best and Growing Up Chrisley alongside his family.

Chase was previously engaged to Emmy Medders, but they ended their relationship in 2023. Later that year, he began dating Jodi Laine Fournerat, and often shares photos of her and his grandmother, Nanny Faye Chrisley, on his Instagram.

Following his parents’ imprisonment, Chase spoke about how the experience brought him and his siblings closer together. He told Extra in 2023 that they chose to support each other during a difficult time.

In January 2025, Chase was arrested in Atlanta on a simple battery charge after an alleged altercation with a bar manager, reportedly stemming from being asked to leave. His lawyers disputed the charges, stating the incident was exaggerated and that he did not assault anyone, and that they would be investigating the situation.

Beyond television, Chase is also an entrepreneur, having launched both a candle brand and a roofing company.

Savannah Chrisley was born to Todd and Julie Chrisley in August 1997. She began her career in pageants, winning Miss Tennessee Teen USA in 2016 and competing for the national title. She then became known for appearing on reality shows like Chrisley Knows Best, Growing Up Chrisley, The Masked Singer, and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. Beyond television, Savannah works as a real estate agent in Tennessee, founded Good Girl RX, and hosts the Unlocked podcast.

Savannah became engaged to hockey player Nic Kerdiles in 2019, but they ended their relationship the following year. Tragically, Kerdiles died in a motorcycle accident in 2023. She later dated Robert Shiver, but they separated in April 2025 after approximately two years together.

While her parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley, were in prison, Savannah took legal custody of her siblings, Grayson and Chloe, and actively campaigned for their release. At the 2024 Republican National Convention, she poignantly shared that the numbers 72600019 and 72601019 – her parents’ prison identification numbers – represented “my whole heart.”

Following a pardon from Donald Trump, Julie and Todd were released from prison, and Savannah shared heartwarming footage of their return home.

Grayson is the youngest child of Todd and Julie Chrisley. He first became well-known when the show Chrisley Knows Best debuted in 2014, just eight years after he was born in May 2006. Now a student at the University of Alabama, he still gets recognized by people on campus. He described the attention as ‘insane’ in a February 2025 interview on Savannah’s podcast, Unlocked, saying it was more than he’d ever experienced before.

When Todd and Julie went to prison, their daughter, Savannah, became Grayson and Chloe’s guardian. Savannah has spoken openly about the challenges and rewards of this role, emphasizing that while she isn’t their parent, she loves and supports them. She shared on Instagram in July 2023 that being a ‘bonus parent’ is incredibly difficult, but also the most fulfilling job she’ll ever have.

Over time, Savannah and Grayson developed a particularly strong bond. On his 18th birthday in May 2024, Savannah posted on Instagram that while many people think she saved him, he actually saved her.

I’ve been following Todd and Julie’s story for years, and it’s been such a journey! It all started when their son, Kyle, had Chloe with Angela back in 2012, making Todd and Julie her grandparents. But they loved her so much, they officially adopted her in 2018 – Julie even shared how much joy she brought to their family on Instagram! We all watched them raise her – we call her CoCo – on Chrisley Knows Best, and it was heartwarming. When Todd and Julie went to prison, Savannah stepped in to take care of her, and she’s been an amazing guardian. Savannah always shares how much Chloe has taught her, especially on social media – her 11th birthday post in November 2023 was so touching! She talked about Chloe’s incredible personality and how she inspires everyone around her. When the news came out about Trump pardoning Todd and Julie, Savannah shared that Chloe was cautiously optimistic, afraid something might still go wrong. But Savannah is so excited to bring her dad home to her, and honestly, so am I! It’s been a long road, and seeing them reunited will be incredible.

Faye Chrisley, affectionately known as ‘Nanny,’ is the mother of Todd Chrisley. He publicly expressed his deep love and gratitude for her on Mother’s Day 2021, sharing how much she fills his life with love, hope, and faith.

Born in South Carolina in September 1944, Nanny married army veteran Gene Chrisley, and together they had three sons: Todd, Randy, and Derrick. Sadly, Derrick passed away as a baby, and Gene died in 2012.

Nanny became a fan favorite on the show Chrisley Knows Best with her lively personality, close relationship with her sister Frances (who passed away in 2022), her dating life, and her wise advice. She always showed viewers how to enjoy life, whether she was at the casino, having a glass of wine, or simply spending time with family.

Despite facing challenges – including her son Todd and daughter-in-law Julie’s legal issues – Nanny remained resilient. In 2021, she was diagnosed with bladder cancer, but thankfully announced in 2023 that she was in remission and feeling well.

Nanny approaches life with a determined spirit. As she shared on a podcast, she believes in making the best of whatever circumstances you’re dealt, getting back up when you fall, and continuing to move forward.
