Dragami Games has pushed back the release of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition from November 2025 to early 2026. They say the extra development time will allow them to release a physical copy of the game at the same time as the digital version, and to add a special “Gun Shooting Mode” that will only be available on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Get the details below.
Notice and Apology for the Delay
We originally intended to release the game digitally. But after hearing from players, we explored the option of a physical release. We’re happy to announce that, thanks to our publishing partners, we’re now preparing physical copies for several regions.
We’ve decided to push back the game’s release date so that the digital and physical copies can launch at the same time. We’re really sorry to those who are excited to play, and we appreciate your patience as we work to make the game the best it can be.
Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Exclusive “Gun Shooting Mode” Revealed

We’re excited to introduce a new game mode only available on the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: “Gun Shooting Mode!”
In this game mode, players always have Juliet’s Chainsaw Blaster and fight zombies using only guns. Each level has “WAVE” sections with large groups of zombies attacking, giving players a fresh experience as they aim and shoot from a third-person perspective.
I’m really excited about this new mode! It’s like a ride-rail shooter – you’re carried along a set path through levels, and it’s a totally different, super fun way to play compared to the usual gameplay. It feels really fresh and thrilling!
This mode offers simpler controls using the Nintendo Switch 2’s Joy-Con 2, making gameplay more user-friendly. You can access it after finishing either Original Mode or RePOP Mode.
Looking Ahead
We’re still working hard to make Dragami Games the best it can be. We’re continuing to improve the game before release and appreciate your patience and support as we finish things up.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP released on September 12, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC (via Steam). PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions followed on December 2, 2024. By August 12, 2025, the game had sold over 300,000 copies.
