As a fervent admirer, I can share that, as per its creator, Yang Bing, the forthcoming PS5 and PC title, Lost Soul Aside, is classified as an “AA game.” Yet, Sony has opted to price it at £59.99/ $59.99.
According to Lunatic Ignus, a content creator who had early access to the game at a recent event before ChinaJoy 2025, this could be the game’s most significant limitation.
The demonstration showcased approximately two hours of gameplay, covering the initial part of the game, with numerous battles against bosses and combat scenarios.
He stated, “The main issue I have with this game is that it struggles to shine on its own. At certain moments, it seems low-budget with its animations and combat sequences. Many of us doubt that the game will become a hit overall due to its AAA price tag, although Chinese gamers appear interested in it.

From a personal perspective, while we were greatly impressed by the recent gameplay clips, it’s essential to emphasize that the ‘feel’ of the game is paramount for character-focused action games such as this one. However, upon viewing the footage, we detected that some aspects of the combat seemed less impactful or ‘crunchy’.
It’s quite intriguing that Lunatic Ignus pointed out that the game offers more than initially anticipated, likening it to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. He mentioned the presence of a town filled with various stores and non-player characters for players to interact with.
On the 29th of August, all those enigmas surrounding this game will finally be put to rest, as that’s the long-awaited day of its release. Am I going to grab a copy? You bet!
