Love Island bosses confirm new companion series airing immediately after main episode – with all-new hosts

Ahead of the new season, the Love Island: The Morning After podcast is getting a revamp. ITV is launching a new show that will give fans instant access to all the latest Love Island gossip right after each episode.

Before the new series starts next week, Amanda Stavri, who commissions podcasts, announced that The Morning After podcast is getting a new name: Love Island: The Debrief.

The show will be available as a podcast and on ITVX, and it will also air immediately following Love Island each weeknight at 10pm.

According to Stavri, viewers can watch Love Island and then immediately share their thoughts and hear analysis of what just happened in the episode.

The islanders who were eliminated from the show will also be joining us, and they’ll share what happened during their time on the show – we’re really looking forward to hearing their perspectives and getting all the details!

Stavri didn’t reveal who would be hosting the show, especially after Amy Hart and Indiyah Polack left.

Amy and Indiyah announced on Instagram that they’re leaving their roles on ‘Love Island: The Morning After’ and ‘Aftersun’ after three wonderful years of sharing gossip, having fun, and discussing the show.

We’re ending our run on a fantastic note! We’ve had millions of views, exciting live streams, and were even nominated for a podcast award. Most importantly, we’ve built a lasting friendship with each other.

This podcast has meant so much to us, and we’re incredibly proud of everything we’ve created together – all the laughs and amazing memories. We couldn’t have done it without your support, but we feel it’s the right moment to step down and let someone new take over. It’s been a dream job, and we’re excited for the next person to experience that.

They have also stepped down from their positions as judges on the show Aftersun, and Stavri has stated that new judges will be brought in, though their identities haven’t been revealed yet.

As a big fan of shows like Big Brother, I’m used to ITV doing these companion programs. Remember ‘Big Brother: Late & Live’? It was great! Each night, AJ Odudu and Will Best would tag-team hosting duties, and they’d have a panel of celebrities chatting about everything that happened in the latest episode. Plus, they always brought out the most recent housemate who’d been voted out – it was a perfect way to get extra insight!

Everyone’s been guessing who will replace Polack and Hart as the podcast hosts, and we should find out soon – an announcement is expected very shortly.

Love Island returns on Monday 1 June at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
