‘Love Island USA’ Islanders Don’t Realize Ace Is Running the Show

After departing from the villa, I, Hannah Fields, am offering fresh perspectives on the Islanders, even shedding light on my fellow contestant, Ace Greene, who has stirred some controversy.

In an exclusive chat with Us Weekly, Hannah, aged 23, affirms that ‘President Ace’ is indeed who they say he is. Interestingly, they share the zodiac sign Leo, known for strong leadership qualities. However, despite his public image of being outspoken and open, she believes he might be the most reserved character in the villa.

In the realm of lifestyle and relationships, I’ve found myself often at odds with Jeremiah Brown regarding the pace of forming connections. I, at 22 years old, find his approach a bit hasty. On the other hand, my own explorations have primarily revolved around Chelley Bissainthe, maintaining an openness to new experiences yet focusing my efforts on her.

When inquired about the possibility of Ace’s actions leading to unintended consequences, Hannah pointed out that the cast might not realize they are being influenced or steered by Ace, yet it becomes evident as one watches the episodes.

In essence, she pointed out that what she perceived might not be apparent to others in the villa at the moment. Upon rewatching the show, however, it became more noticeable to her. Particularly in the villa, she observed that he was having Nic and Taylor do some rather unusual tasks.

She commented, “However, as I observed closely, it became apparent that he was indeed in charge, dominating not only the boys but also everyone else. He truly is a towering figure.

Jeremiah acknowledges that Ace is in charge, as he put it to People, “I admired him a lot, thinking ‘Wow, this guy’s hilarious. He’s my pick.’ But then it felt like ‘Follow these steps, don’t do that, don’t do this. You’re making mistakes,’ so yes, without a doubt, Ace is the undisputed leader among Nic and Taylor.

In the Islander community, Ace significantly influenced the men’s experiences. Conversely, Hannah was eliminated from the villa by a group of women that included Chelley, Cierra, Olandria, and Huda.

She expressed her disappointment by saying that no one provided an explanation, leaving her confused even when watching subsequent episodes. The only clue given was that she had strong bonds with two individuals, but she’s unsure what that signifies, like an apology. She laughed as she shared this sentiment with Us. Initially, she felt let down by Cierra, expecting her to advocate more on her behalf. This sentiment intensified when she saw Cierra crying at the fire pit and heard her explanation stating that Iris and Amaya were more dedicated. This struck her hard because she had been open about her feelings with Cierra. However, currently, she’s incredibly thankful for the experience, appreciating the friendships and connections she made, despite the premature ending.

Hannah felt like an “easy target” after finding two solid connections with Charlie and Pepe.

She stated, “We never pressured anything at all,” she explained. “I had many conversations with Pepe while Charlie was in the villa, but it felt like we were always under scrutiny. It wasn’t easy, especially given everyone’s tendency to judge those who explore. I continued to explore, even when I was with Pepe, talking to anyone who entered the villa and some of the other men. However, there wasn’t a genuine connection. … I can’t pretend to flirt with someone. … I felt a sense of retribution because both times my connections ended were not on my own initiative.

Hannah also shared insight into her relationship with Huda, who has had a rocky ride in the villa.

She mentioned that we all shared a bond of friendship with Huda. We were very tight with her, she noted. At times, she admitted, we might have said something like, ‘Alright, calm down.’ It seems Huda had moments of being quite emotional, and our friendship included being there for her during those times. She confessed that she often played the role of listening to Huda express her feelings until she felt better. In a similar way, she acknowledged that she too could be that friend who would talk about her own experiences until she felt ready to move on. So, in essence, she was there for Huda when she needed someone to listen, and Huda was there for her as well.

Hannah called it a “bummer” when Huda pursued Pepe without giving her a heads-up.

As a transparent individual, I’ve always advocated for honesty in matters of friendship and potential connections. I remember emphasizing, “If you’re considering pursuing another connection, particularly one connected to a friend, make sure to be upfront about it.” I didn’t want any unexpected surprises or awkwardness. Interestingly, she had spoken with Pepe much earlier before she shared her intentions with me. Everyone else had hinted at her plans beforehand, but Pepe had discussed their conversation with me on multiple occasions before I learned anything from her directly.

Hannah admits that she hasn’t experienced a sense of finality with Huda or their past circumstances, but she remains open to establishing friendships with Huda and other women beyond the villa.

She stated, “I remained upset until I departed. We’d need to discuss that matter later, but I haven’t entirely ruled out maintaining a friendship with her. In fact, I don’t rule out forming friendships with anyone. I believe I care deeply for all of them.

New episodes of Love Island USA drop every day — but Wednesday — on Peacock at 9 p.m. ET.
