Prior to the release of “Mafia: The Old Country”, developers at Hangar 13 announced their intention to enhance the Explore Mode feature, enabling players to freely traverse the game world beyond the main story, via a free update. It has since been confirmed that this update will be rolled out within the next few months, introducing Free Ride Mode.
In Mafia: Definitive Edition, a feature called Free Ride was introduced, offering players a variety of fresh activities such as Phone Booth Missions, races, and Taxi Missions. This mode also allows for weather and time manipulation while providing access to the armory, garage, and outfit customization options. It’s yet to be determined if The Old Country will adopt the same strategy, but Hangar 13 hinted at a new content update that includes “additional activities and gameplay elements.
During this period, it was found out that the action-adventure game garnered more than three million hours of viewing time on Twitch. Moreover, some other fascinating figures are:
* 185 million enemies were defeated
* Over 600 million rounds of ammunition were expended
* Players collected a total of 10 billion Dinari (both legally and illegally)
* A whopping 17 million bandages were utilized.
However, no sales figures were disclosed.
