
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, the highly anticipated game, has received a significant update. While the game is still in development and playable, its release has been pushed back to at least 2027 – a disappointment for fans eager to play as Captain America and Black Panther. The game is set in the year Marvel’s Hydra organization began and will let players experience the roles of classic heroes. A major draw for many is that it’s being created by Amy Hennig, the creative force behind the Uncharted series.
According to an interview with IGN, Shawn Kittelsen, an executive at Paramount Games Studio, discussed the difficulties of working on such a large-scale project and the importance of meeting fan expectations.
We have a playable version of the game now and are continuing to develop it. The team, led by Amy, is striving for a very high level of quality.

Unfortunately, when asked about a release date for Marvel gamers, Kittelsen didn’t give a firm answer, but hinted that it likely won’t be in 2026.
