The NetEase-developed Marvel mobile game titled “Marvel Mystic Mayhem” debuted on June 25th. Since then, avid Marvel enthusiasts and mobile gaming aficionados have had a few days to delve into its early content. Generally, fans are finding the experience quite enjoyable, with some even likening it to a replacement for the well-established mobile game, “Marvel Strike Force.” Nonetheless, one particular feedback point has consistently surfaced as a main request from fans for potential improvements in “Marvel Mystic Mayhem.
In the free-to-play mobile game, Marvel Mystic Mayhem, players can obtain new characters via a gacha system using Shadow Keys. These characters are randomly drawn along with other items such as Highlights. The acquired characters participate in battles across various game modes to defeat opponents and advance the storyline. However, what left many gamers taken aback is the limitation on the number of heroes they can deploy in Marvel Mystic Mayhem – unlike most similar games that allow 4 or 5 hero teams, in this game, the maximum team size is restricted to just 3 characters.
I honestly don’t know why we can only use 3 heroes

The r/marvelmysticmayhem community is seeing an increase in discussions about the game’s 3-hero limit, as players express their disappointment. Many had initially anticipated that this limitation might be lifted as they advanced through the game. However, it appears that even at higher levels, you can only have three heroes active on the battlefield. These gamers are hoping for an adjustment to this rule in future updates of Marvel Mystic Mayhem.
Gamers Want New Modes with More Heroes in Marvel Mystic Mayhem
Since the game employs an auto-battle feature, which lets heroes fight independently, controlling numerous heroes isn’t challenging. However, it requires careful planning to activate skills and ultimates at the right moments. The majority of the work is taken care of automatically, which has sparked interest among fans as to why Marvel Mystic Mayhem doesn’t allow for a greater number of heroes on the battlefield.
In other words, some spectators argue that having multiple heroes on the battlefield at once could lead to an overly cluttered display, necessitating additional room for skill and ultimate cards as well. This is just one possible explanation for limiting the number of heroes to three in a team.

As someone who’s been gaming in this genre for quite a while, I can say that switching to games with more heroes on the field feels like a bit of an adjustment. However, it’s not all bad in Marvel Mystic Mayhem with its 3-hero limit. Some of us actually appreciate the simplicity it brings to team building, as there are fewer variables to consider. That being said, I think most players would agree that introducing modes with larger teams is a necessary change for the future of Marvel Mystic Mayhem.
Recently, NetEase conducted a poll among gamers regarding their initial impressions of the new Marvel game. Many respondents expressed a desire for “more modes that allow multiple characters” in their feedback, so here’s hoping that NetEase will consider this significant suggestion when planning the game’s future development.
