Marvel star shares exciting update on “moving” Wandavision follow-up

Shortly after the premiere date for the WandaVision and Agatha All Along follow-up, VisionQuest, was announced, Paul Bettany shared a promising hint about what viewers can anticipate.

Paul Bettany, an original member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since voicing JARVIS in the first Iron Man and playing Vision since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, recently shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that the new series he’s been working on has been in post-production for quite some time.

He shared that the show is looking fantastic, with each new edit improving it. Once all the special effects were added, it became truly funny, heartwarming, and thrilling. He praised showrunner Terry Matalas for doing an excellent job.

Bettany described the project as feeling both connected to the existing story – like a natural conclusion to a three-part series – and uniquely its own. He expressed strong satisfaction with the work, saying, ‘I’m really proud of it.’

Currently, details about the VisionQuest storyline are scarce. We know it will follow the new White Vision, created from the pieces of the original, but without any of his past memories or feelings, after the events of WandaVision.

The series will star Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, and Ruaridh Mollica. Faran Tahir is returning as Raza, the character he played in the original Iron Man movie, and James Spader will reprise his role as Ultron.

It’s still unclear how the villain from Vision’s first movie will reappear, but actor Paul Bettany recently shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast how much he enjoys working with Jim Spader. Bettany described Spader as ‘delicious’ and ‘so funny,’ adding that it’s a joy to watch him perform.
