This year, Marvel Studios is bringing Thanos back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a new line of merchandise. They’ve partnered with Jones Soda to create the ‘Undead Heroes Collection,’ a series of drinks inspired by Marvel Zombies. While Thanos hasn’t appeared in the MCU since the What If…? Season 2 finale, he’ll be returning as a zombie in the new animated series.
Jones Soda is releasing a limited-edition collection of four spooky flavors, called Undead Heroes, available only until Halloween. Each flavor is inspired by a character from Marvel’s first R-rated animated movie and will feature that character’s artwork on the bottle.
- Zombie Thanos on Undead Brew Root Beer
- Zombie Wanda (aka The Queen of the Dead) on Blood Moon Zest Strawberry Lime Soda
- Zombie Captain America on Dead & Berry’d Berry Lemonade Soda
- Blade Knight on Eternal Eclipse Cream Soda
Even though Thanos was defeated in *Avengers: Endgame*, he’s continued to appear in animated Marvel series every few years. This trend continues with the new *Marvel Zombies* show, and his presence in that series feels especially significant.

As a huge MCU fan, I was totally surprised to see the first official merchandise for Zombie Thanos! You’d think it would be something classic like an action figure, a cool t-shirt, or maybe even a tie-in to a video game. But nope – it’s soda! Seriously, who saw that coming?

Aside from the picture of Zombie Thanos on the bottle, it’s hard to say what sets Undead Brew Root Beer apart from regular root beer. However, it’s a limited edition item that big Thanos fans will likely want to collect.

You can buy the Undead Heroes sodas in variety packs with all the flavors, or in 12-packs of your favorite single flavor. If you order by October 19th, you should get your sodas in time for Halloween.
The entire first season of *Marvel Zombies* – all four episodes – will be available to stream on Disney+ starting Wednesday, September 24th. The show features a cast of 29 characters from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
