Marvel Tokon Making Refinements Based on Player Feedback in the Run Up to Launch

The fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, developed by Sony and Arc System Works, will be released soon! The recent State of Play event revealed the release date and some additional playable characters, and the game looks promising.

With the game launching on August 6th, 2026, the developers are using the remaining months to refine it based on player feedback, ensuring it’s the best experience possible.

Producer Takeshi Yamanaka expressed his thanks for the overwhelming support as the team nears completion of their work, sharing the update on social media.

The latest news shows Arc System Works is improving the game’s design. They’re using feedback gathered from playtests at events and the Closed Beta versions. It’s clear the team is listening to what players have to say.

Okay, so I just watched the new trailer, and things are looking good! They’ve tweaked the Assist system, which is awesome, and it looks like switching between characters is way faster now. They also made some changes to Link Attacks. The trailer didn’t show everything though – apparently they’ve been working on how often you move between different areas of the game too, but we’ll have to wait and see how that feels.

Players will get their first chance to try out the latest version of the game at gaming events globally, beginning with the ARC WORLD TOUR Finals in Seoul, South Korea. This new build features the recently announced fighters: Magik, Wolverine, and Danger.

We’ll be sharing more news soon about new characters and ways to play. Your thoughts are really important to us, and will help make the game even better, so we appreciate your support!

Over the next few months, we’ll likely see much more of Tokon, including the rest of the characters you can play as. It looks like the developers, Arc System Works, will reveal these characters in groups based on themes, which is a cool way to do it.
