Several people online, including on Reddit, have backed up Schreier’s report, and some have even hinted they worked on the canceled Venom game. It seems Jeter may have recorded voice lines for a Venom game years ago, but since no news came out, people assumed it was scrapped. While outdated info and losing Tony Todd as a voice actor might have stopped development, Schreier suggests there may never have been a Venom game in development at all.
Even though what Schreier said was unclear, the conflicting information about this game has fueled a lot of fan speculation.
