Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen took their New York minute to the stage.
The founders of The Row appeared publicly to accept the American Accessory Designer of the Year award at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City on November 3rd.
Speaking onstage, Mary-Kate thanked their individual customers for their support over the last 20 years, while Ashley held a gold award. She added, with heartfelt gratitude, that they were thankful for the opportunity to do what they love, thanks to their wonderful customers.
The 39-year-old, who co-founded the luxury fashion brand with Ashley in 2006, also shared that their family and friends were their greatest supporters.
As a longtime fan, hearing Mary-Kate say that truly meant a lot. She wrapped things up by letting us know that we, the supporters, are the reason they’re able to do what they do, and she thanked us for all the love and kindness that motivates them every single day. It felt so personal and genuine!
At the award show, Mary-Kate and Ashley both wore stylish black blazers. Ashley completed her outfit with a bold, eye-catching necklace.
The stars of Full House have generally stayed out of the public eye, preferring to quietly develop their careers. They do occasionally make appearances, and before the CFDA Fashion Awards, they were last seen at New York Fashion Week in September.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen turned heads at a W Magazine party. Mary-Kate opted for a relaxed outfit with a large white shirt and black pants, while Ashley wore dark-wash jeans and a black coat. They brightened up their typically understated style with colorful, patterned scarves.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen initially became famous as actresses, but they’ve always been most passionate about fashion.

To be honest, we weren’t really thinking things through at the time,” Ashley told I-D in 2021. “We’d just moved to New York, we were 18, and all we really knew was that we wanted to step back from our old lives and see what else was out there.
But they weren’t interested in being the face of their brand, either.
“We didn’t want to be in front of it, we didn’t necessarily even want to let people know it was us,” she admitted. “It was really about the product, to the point where we were like: Who could we get to front this so that we don’t have to?”

For almost twenty years, the stars of Passport to Paris have been quietly making their mark in the fashion industry, working behind the scenes.
Mary-Kate explained that she and her sister are both perfectionists and dedicated workers. She believes their interest in fashion comes from a desire to improve and refine things, with each new season offering a chance to build on their work and address any shortcomings.
We also need to identify any areas for improvement, constantly challenging ourselves to refine our work and ensure we’re meeting everyone’s needs. It’s all about growth and continuous learning.
Now, take a minute to look back at Mary-Kate and Ashley’s best looks over the years.
