If you were concerned that the new Masters of the Universe Origins Cartoon Collection might be overshadowed by the recent MOTU Chronicles news and the upcoming movie, Mattel has confirmed it’s still a priority. Official photos of Wave 4 have been released, and you can now preorder the figures on Amazon and Entertainment Earth.
Fans first caught wind of this figure back in November 2025 when El Cofre Geek discovered it listed on Amazon before Mattel officially announced it. That’s a great example of why dedicated collectors are often rewarded! The 200x animated series holds a special place for many, and Mattel’s continued commitment to recreating those designs in the Origins line shows how much love there is for this part of the Masters of the Universe story, both within Mattel and among fans.
The fourth wave of figures includes four new additions, with one being a larger, Deluxe size. Here’s a look at each figure in this release.
The Masters of the Universe Wave 4 Figure Lineup
Teela

The warrior goddess is fully armored in gold and white, featuring a chest piece with a bright green gem, turquoise shoulder pads, and layered gold arm protection. She wears tall brown boots with detailed, fur-lined cuffs. Her red-orange hair is styled in a high ponytail, secured with a gold tiara, and she carries her iconic staff topped with a cobra head.

Orko

The Trollan sorcerer figure is displayed on a clear stand, wearing his signature red robe with gold details, a pink scarf, and a broad-brimmed hat featuring pale blue, horn-like extensions. He comes with two glowing blue magic effect pieces and a gold necklace, making him one of the most detailed figures in the collection.

Mer-Man

This ocean-themed warrior features a familiar head sculpt with a finned crest, teal skin, and gold shoulder armor. He wears a segmented chest plate adorned with a turquoise gem and a maroon loincloth fastened with a gold sunburst buckle. He’s equipped with two weapons: an elaborate gold trident and a unique gold sword shaped like a corn cob, featuring a wide, ridged blade.

This Eternian robot gets a detailed upgrade with a large blue and gray torso, striking red leg armor, and oversized, dark purple feet. You can see intricate gears inside through his clear chest. He includes a gray cannon that attaches to his shoulder and a red, double-barreled arm cannon, offering two different ways to equip him with weapons.

Why This Wave Matters
As a big fan of these lines, I figured the 20xx Cartoon Collection might take a backseat with all the buzz around the new Masters of the Universe movie. It seemed like everything was focused on the MOTU Chronicles figures and products directly tied to the film, and they were definitely dominating shelves. But honestly, the way Wave 4 dropped – with official photos, preorders hitting all the major stores at once, and the figures looking really good – tells me Mattel is still heavily invested in this line, and that’s fantastic news!
If you’ve been collecting these items from the beginning, Wave 4 is a definite addition. If you’re just starting, this is a great place to jump in. Preorders are open now, and because some previous releases sold out quickly, it’s best to order soon.
