Megan Thee Stallion is once again a single hottie.

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion announced her split from basketball player Klay Thompson after dating for under a year.

Megan announced on April 25th that she and Klay have broken up. In a statement to TopMob News, she explained that trust, loyalty, and respect are essential to her in any relationship, and without those qualities, she doesn’t see a future together.

As she enters a new chapter, the 31-year-old is putting herself first.

“I’m taking this time to prioritize myself,” she said, “and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

The news came just hours after Megan posted a cryptic statement on Instagram.

She revealed on Instagram that she felt used and like she was put on display for his family. She also expressed frustration over supporting him through difficult times during his basketball season, only to now have him question whether he’s capable of being in an exclusive relationship, saying, ‘You had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet.’ Holding you down through all your horrible mood swings and treatment… now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’?’

“Bitch I need a REAL break after this one ..,” she added, “bye yall.”

TopMob News has reached out to Klay’s rep for comment, but hasn’t heard back.

Megan and the Dallas Mavericks guard started dating last summer and publicly confirmed their relationship in July 2025.
