To celebrate the season, Dovetail is offering Train Sim World 6 players a free route as a special gift.
It chose a particularly challenging game to cover. While we enjoy the railway simulation, it’s often difficult to find new and exciting things to discuss about it.
Okay, so the ‘Spirit of Steam’ route – Liverpool to Crewe – is special to me because it was the very first steam engine DLC they ever released for Train Sim World! I remember when it came out for Train Sim World 2, it was a big deal. We actually covered it back then because it felt like a real turning point for the game.
This expansion is set in the 1950s, and playing with a steam locomotive feels quite different than usual. It might take a little practice to get the hang of it, but it’s a fun and rewarding experience. Plus, you can use the trains on any of the available routes.
If you previously got the free Starter Pack when Train Sim World 6 came out, you can get this new route for free too! That means you’re getting a lot of extra content without spending any money.

You can claim your free content until January 5th, and it’s yours to keep indefinitely once you do. Just get it from the PlayStation Store here.
