Now, instead of navigating back to my primary monitor to access the notification center and calendar flyout, I can simply click on the date and time displayed on secondary monitors. This convenient feature streamlines my workflow significantly!
As part of the new Windows 11 Dev Channel build, we are enhancing the Notification Center to support multiple monitors. This means that you will be able to view your calendar on any monitor and have the option to display a larger clock with seconds displayed above the calendar.
Indeed, it’s significant that this alteration has come about since it was initially absent when Windows 11 was introduced. Previously, Windows 10 users could access the notification center from additional screens, indicating that this change is likely being implemented now as a concession to Windows 10 users who are being compelled to upgrade to Windows 11 before support ceases.
This update will significantly simplify how Windows 11 functions in a multi-monitor configuration. I now comprehend that the inability to access the notification center on other screens, particularly in setups with more than two displays, was due to certain limitations. Occasionally, it’s more convenient to view missed notifications on the monitor you’re currently working on without having to switch back to the primary one.
I’ve noticed that Microsoft is making a change based on user feedback, which is fantastic. At the moment, this alteration is being introduced to Windows Insiders in both the Dev Channel and Beta Channel, indicating that it’s not publicly available just yet. However, we can expect it to be accessible in the forthcoming weeks and months.
Lately, Microsoft has been dedicating much effort towards enhancing minor convenience features throughout the Windows 11 operating system. Notably, they have revealed plans to upgrade the energy saver function, allowing it to intelligently activate according to a user’s routine, thereby extending battery life.
The operating system now sports a revamped Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) screen, speeding up the creation of crash dumps.
