On January 31st, Microsoft will remove seven games from Xbox Game Pass. Four of these were released in 2025 and were only recently added to the service. While none of the games leaving are major titles on their own, the number of games being removed all at once is significant.
For a limited time, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can buy any of these seven games with a 20% discount. We don’t know if these games will be available again after they leave Game Pass, and because they’re smaller titles, it’s unlikely they’ll return.
Citizen Keeper 2 (2025)
In Citizen Keeper 2, you’re a runaway android with a broken body and a bounty on your head – but you have no idea why. This sci-fi RPG uses dice rolls to determine your fate as you try to find a spaceship, gather a crew, and complete jobs throughout the Starward Belt.
Metacritic Score: 85
Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (2025)
I’m really into this game called Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders. Basically, you race down a snowy mountain, and it’s super fun whether you want to play alone or with friends – up to eight of you can race at once! The main challenge? Trying not to wipe out and break something!
Metacritic Score: 87
Cataclismo (2025)
Okay, so in Cataclismo, I get to build this awesome fortress from the ground up, and then it’s all about defending it from wave after wave of these crazy creatures called Horrors. It’s a real-time strategy game, so I’m managing resources, exploring the world, and really focusing on building up defenses to withstand the sieges. Basically, it’s all those things rolled into one pretty intense experience.
Metacritic Score: 82
Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (2025)
Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap is a fast-paced, action-packed game where you fight off endless waves of orcs. You can play solo or team up with up to four friends.
Metacritic Score: 69
Shady Part of Me
Shady Part of Me is a puzzle adventure game about a young girl and her shadow. Together, they journey through strange and dreamlike worlds as the girl works through her feelings.
Metacritic Score: 78
Starbound
Starbound is a sci-fi adventure game where you explore a vast universe. After escaping your destroyed home planet, you find yourself lost in space with a broken ship. You’ll need to land on different planets to repair your ship and uncover the secrets of the galaxy.
Metacritic Score: 81
PAW Patrol World
Paw Patrol World is an open-world, 3D adventure game that lets you explore the Paw Patrol universe. You’ll work to stop Mayor Humdinger and his trouble-making blimp!
Metacritic Score: 79
