Since becoming Netflix’s biggest hit in 2016, Stranger Things is wrapping up with its long-awaited fifth and final season, starting its release in three parts later this month. Although these are the last episodes, filming finished some time ago. Recently, ComicBook asked Millie Bobby Brown what she took from the set as a souvenir, and her answer made it clear why that particular item was so meaningful to her.
When asked about her favorite item from the Stranger Things set, Millie Bobby Brown shared a nostalgic pick: the pink dress her character wore in the show’s first season. This is especially meaningful for fans who have followed the series from the beginning.
When Stranger Things became popular, a memorable image circulated everywhere: Eleven in a pink dress and blue jacket, often with blood on her nose. This outfit was featured in important scenes where she first met the friends she’d later become close to. Because this look is so iconic to the show, it’s understandable that Millie Bobby Brown wanted to keep the outfit as a keepsake now that the series is ending.
Several cast members took souvenirs from the set, including Jake Connelly, who played Derek Turnbow. He ended up taking two items: a G.I. Joe lunch box and a pair of prop glasses. Surprisingly, the prescription in the prop glasses was better than his usual ones, which he found really useful after filming wrapped. He jokingly thanked the props department for the helpful upgrade.
Priah Ferguson, who plays Erica Sinclair, did get to keep a souvenir from the set of season 5, but she couldn’t share what it was to avoid revealing spoilers. “It’s something from season 5, but I can’t say what it is just yet,” she explained.
Amybeth McNulty, who plays Vickie, also took a couple of souvenirs from the set, but she’s keeping one a secret because it would reveal a plot point. She explained, “I can’t tell you about one of them because it relates to my costume.” However, she did share that she has a keyring with a charm from her previous show, Anne with an E, that the props team added, and she “absolutely loves it.” When asked if viewers will figure out what the secret item is when they watch the show, she hinted, “Oh, you’ll know – it’s on top of my head!”
Nell Fisher, who played Holly Wheeler on the show, shared that she held onto a miniature figure from the game Dungeons & Dragons used during filming. This led her to learn how to play the game herself. “I got to keep a little D&D figurine, which was really neat, and it actually inspired me to learn the game,” Fisher explained.
The fifth season of Stranger Things will be released in two parts. The first four episodes of Volume 1 drop on November 26th, followed by the three episodes of Volume 2 on Christmas. The final episode will premiere on New Year’s Eve. Both volumes will become available at 5 PM Pacific Time.
