Sony and San Diego Studio have revealed that MLB The Show 26 is in development, though they haven’t yet announced which gaming systems it will be available on. While it’s likely to come out on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox, the biggest question is what new features and improvements the game will offer to players who have enjoyed the series for years.
MLB The Show is adding new high school and college career modes. The popular Diamond Dynasty mode will also get fresh content with updates to Weekend Classic and Diamond Quest. Starting November 21st, you can use packs you earned in MLB The Show 25 within the new game through special “Now and Later” packs. If you sign up for The Scouting Report before November 14th, you’ll receive five of these packs early.
Cross-game pack redemption, after all these years? Pinch me, I must be dreaming.
The game also features a revamped Franchise Mode offering a deeper and more engaging experience, plus a new season for The Negro Leagues with expanded stories focusing on iconic African-American players.
I’m really excited for MLB The Show 26, and we’ll get more info about it in 2026. Honestly, I’m hoping this is the year we finally see it on PC – I saw a job posting last month that made it seem possible! I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more news.
