It’s been a little over a year since the popular crime series MobLand premiered on Paramount+, and with fans eagerly anticipating the second season, some exciting updates about the show have just been revealed.
According to The Sun, a third season of the show is already being planned, even before the second season has premiered, which indicates the streaming service is optimistic about its future.
According to a source close to the show, executives have decided to continue with the series because of its high quality and strong viewership. The production is first-rate, directed by Guy Ritchie, and has earned positive reviews from both critics and audiences.
TopMob has approached Paramount+ for comment.
MobLand stars Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, alongside a strong British supporting cast featuring Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Janet McTeer, Lara Pulver, and Toby Jones.

Meanwhile, the cast also features Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson and Jordi Mollà.
Ronan Bennett, known for his work on ‘Top Boy’ and ‘The Day of the Jackal’, created the series. Guy Ritchie served as both an executive producer and a director.
After the show’s strong performance, with over 26 million viewers and numbers still growing, Paramount Global’s Chris McCarthy announced it would return for a second season. McCarthy, who leads Showtime/MTV Entertainment, praised the show as a major success, highlighting the creative team of Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, and David Glasser, as well as the leading actors Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren.
We’re thrilled to announce a second season of this hugely popular show, which has been a hit with audiences around the world and reached number one in the UK.

Butterworth, one of the show’s writers, explained that he hadn’t initially planned to work in television. However, the creative vision and smart approach of Chris, David, and the teams at Paramount and 101 Studios convinced him to join the project and completely changed his mind.
Working with Chris, David, Guy, and the incredibly talented cast has been a truly inspiring experience, and I can’t wait to start working on the second season of MobLand.
