Mattel continues its Masters of the Universe and ThunderCats crossover with a new wave of 5.5-inch figures. Wave 3 features Lion-O, Panthor, and Panthro redesigned with the look and feel of Eternia. This follows Wave 2, released in July, which gave He-Man, Panthro, and Tygra ThunderCats-inspired designs. Mattel seems to be alternating the design focus with each new wave of figures.
Mattel is releasing new Masters of the Universe (MOTU) and ThunderCats figures, along with a special King Randor figure from the original 1980s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon. This King Randor figure is based on his appearance in the 1984 episode “The Magic Falls,” which featured celebrations at the Royal Palace. He includes a Scepter of Power and sword as accessories.
