The anime adaptation of “My Hero Academia” will conclude later this year, however, the manga’s storyline has already concluded successfully due to the efforts of creator Kohei Horikoshi. Lately, the popular superhero series has unveiled a fresh exhibit celebrating the work of its mangaka, with Horikoshi sharing unique artwork for the franchise. In an unexpected disclosure, Kohei divulged that the villainous son of Endeavor, Dabi, was initially intended to have significant connections with Marvel Comics’ Ghost Rider character, Johnny Blaze. Given that “My Hero Academia’s” creator has openly expressed his affection for North American comic books, this connection seems fitting considering Ghost Rider’s tenure as a superhero.
Regarding the intense battle between Dabi from “My Hero Academia” and his brother Shoto, it’s not surprising that the creator, Horikoshi, chose to honor Marvel’s flaming-skulled hero. In fact, during a recent interview at UA Academy, Horikoshi revealed his original plan for Dabi’s final form, which was intended as a tribute to Ghost Rider. He had envisioned Dabi having a giant companion and mentioned, “I had this vague image of ‘He has a giant patron and…'”. The line about Dabi getting motion sickness easily when attacking Overhaul’s convoy was a remnant or carryover from that concept.
Horikoshi went on to say, “Initially, I intended for him to ride something at this stage [in the Overhaul Arc], but I abandoned that idea once Endeavor flew later.” Although Dabi didn’t flash any intimidating glares in his final battle scene, he was just as terrifying as the Ghost Rider within the League of Villains.
My Hero Academia’s Future Past The Finale
This month marked the conclusion of the first season for the spin-off series, “Vigilantes,” which is set in the world of “My Hero Academia.” Although no announcement has been made regarding a second season, the manga provides additional adventures featuring characters such as Crawler, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster. As the eighth season of “My Hero Academia” has been billed as its conclusion, fans are speculating whether Deku and Class 1-A will reappear in a feature-length film. The most recent movie, “My Hero Academia: You’re Next,” was not marketed as the final installment of the franchise, leaving room for the possibility that a new film could continue the story.
As we approach October, it’s been confirmed that the final season of the anime will be airing, but BONES Studio hasn’t specified an exact premiere date yet. Even though Dabi, Toga, and Spinner have been vanquished, the heroes can’t celebrate just yet because Shigaraki and All For One are still in the fray. This means that Deku and All Might must continue their challenging duty of defending Hero Society against these persistent villains.
