The anime series My Hero Academia concluded in December 2025, nine years after it first aired. The anime finished its story just over a year after the manga ended, with a final look at the aftermath of the massive Final War. The heroes are left with lasting wounds and the task of rebuilding the country. While the main story is over, the world of My Hero Academia will continue through spin-offs and video games.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, My Hero Academia has some exciting news for fans! The anime has confirmed it will return with a special episode that will conclude the series. This final episode will premiere on Crunchyroll on May 2nd, 2026. A recent teaser showed fans what the U.A. students will look like as grown-up, professional heroes.
What Will Happen in My Hero Academia: More?

The anime series now has a website dedicated to sharing news about celebrations and future plans. The biggest announcement is a special episode continuing the story, which is coming soon. This episode, titled “More,” will be based on an extra chapter (Chapter 431) that was originally included only in the last volume of the manga.
The last book in the series came out in Japan in December 2024, with the English version following in October 2025. This final chapter concludes the story, jumping forward eight years to focus on the students of Class 1-A, U.A.’s Big Three, and the pro heroes. The story mainly revolves around Ochako Uraraka and shows a gathering of Japan’s top heroes, also revealing their official rankings.
This story takes place a little while after the main series ends, showing the U.A. High students as fully grown, successful pro heroes. Originally, this extra chapter wasn’t planned for official release and was just a quick look at the future as a thank you to fans. A teaser revealing the characters as adults was shared on April 29th, 2026. The episode will be a standard length and will first air on TV in Japan before becoming available on Crunchyroll.
