The eighth season of My Hero concluded the main story on December 13th in Japan. But don’t worry, the series creator is already planning more content for fans, which is expected to be released next year.
The trailer for Season 2 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is out now, confirming the spin-off series will premiere in January. It will debut in Japan on Monday, January 5, 2026, and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll in Western regions on the same day.
Vigilantes is a new anime series that takes place in the same universe as My Hero Academia. It centers around Koichi Haimawari, a powerful vigilante who uses his abilities to protect people, even though he doesn’t have an official hero license.

Set to be released on May 2, 2026, this episode will cover the final chapter of Kohei Horikoshi’s popular manga series. It will take place several years after the end of Season 8, giving fans a heartfelt farewell to the characters they love.
