
The popular anime My Hero Academia is returning with new episodes this year! While fans were saddened by the conclusion of the eighth and final season in 2025, the franchise isn’t over. A new season of the prequel series, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, is part of the Winter 2026 anime lineup, and the opening and ending themes have just been released to mark the debut.

How to Watch My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2
Season 2 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is premiering new episodes weekly as part of the Winter 2026 lineup, and will be available exclusively on Crunchyroll. The English dub will be released on the same day, allowing fans to watch in either language as new episodes come out. The new opening theme, “Catch,” is by Surii, and the ending theme, “Miss You,” is performed by shytaupe. The series will feature the same staff and cast as Season 1.
Kenichi Suzuki will direct the anime My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, with animation by Bones Film. Yosuke Kuroda is writing the scripts, Takahiko Yoshida is handling character design, Yukihiro Watanabe is the art director, Haruko Nobori is in charge of color design, and Yuki Hayashi is composing the music. The first episode revealed new voice actors, including Kazuyuki Okitsu reprising his role as a younger Fatgum from the original My Hero Academia, and Kana Ueda joining the cast as the character Monika Kaniyashiki.

This year promises exciting developments for both My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and the My Hero Academia franchise. Vigilantes Season 2 will feature a significant flashback arc exploring Shota Aizawa’s past, adding depth to the main storyline. Meanwhile, the entire My Hero Academia anime is gearing up for a major celebration in 2026, marking its 10th anniversary with a series of special events.
Fans of My Hero Academia have a lot to look forward to! A world tour concert featuring music from the series is planned, and a new episode will air this Spring. The episode continues the story right after the series finale, giving viewers a glimpse into the future of Deku and the now-grown heroes of Class 1-A.
