I got my hands on a prototype of the HyperSpace Trackpad Pro a few months ago and have been following its development since its Kickstarter campaign. It’s designed to bring a high-quality, tactile feel to using a trackpad with a PC, and now, at CES 2026, the price for this ‘Magic Trackpad for Windows‘ has been announced.
The HyperSpace Trackpad Pro was initially offered on Kickstarter for $109 to early supporters, a discount from its planned price of $149.99. Now, it’s available for $129, which is a similar price to Apple’s Magic Trackpad – a product it’s often compared to.
The HyperSpace Trackpad Pro is a trackpad that works on its own. Its slightly angled shape is similar to the Apple Magic Trackpad.
This accessory lets you use different levels of pressure to control what happens – like a trackpad, but you don’t physically press it down. It uses varying levels of vibration, or ‘haptics’, to respond to how firmly you touch it.
The HyperSpace Trackpad Pro uses vibrations to feel like you’re pressing a real button or switch. Because it’s a haptic trackpad, it avoids the problems of traditional trackpads, like unresponsive areas and parts that can break.
We’ve been following the HyperSpace Trackpad Pro for more than a year. I had the chance to test early models for weeks and discuss it with the Hyper team at CES 2025. Throughout my review, I also spoke with Hyper’s engineers on several occasions.
Using the HyperSpace Trackpad Pro gave me a fresh outlook. Initially, like many others, I thought of it as simply a Magic Trackpad alternative for Windows, but it actually offers much more functionality.
Hydra Connect is a versatile tool that lets you tailor commands and shortcuts for each app you use. This means you can assign the same action – like a swipe – to do different things in different programs. For instance, you could use a swipe to move through a video timeline in Adobe Premiere Pro, but make that same swipe scroll a webpage in Microsoft Edge.
Hyper is showcasing new products at CES 2026, including the HyperDrive USB4 M.2 PCIe enclosure. This enclosure lets you connect and transfer data from SSDs and PCIe modules. They also introduced new power banks and Qi2 wireless chargers.
Make sure to follow our CES 2026 coverage to get all the latest updates from the show.
