My Hero Academia is back for its last season, and it’s starting with a brand new opening theme that hints at a huge finale. The Fall 2025 anime season has begun, with lots of new shows starting to air. This Fall also brings back several popular franchises, but My Hero Academia is likely to be the most-watched return as it prepares to conclude with its eighth and final season.
My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON is here, marking the beginning of the end for the epic conflict between heroes and villains. The latest opening theme sequence emphasizes this, showcasing the climactic battles of both All Might versus All For One, and Izuku Midoriya against Tomura Shigaraki. You can watch the creditless version of the new opening, released by Toho Animation, below.
My Hero Academia Season 8 Teases Epic Finale With New Opening
Called “THE REVO” and performed by PORNOGRAFFITI, the opening theme for My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON immediately throws viewers back into the intense conflict between heroes and villains. However, since the last season concluded many of the war’s major battles, only a few conflicts remain before the war can end. Achieving this won’t be simple, though, as Deku and his allies must find a way to defeat villains who have become significantly more powerful.
The beginning of this season really focuses on the internal battles both Deku and Shigaraki have faced throughout the series. Both are burdened by the events around them, but Deku must find a way to connect with Shigaraki like never before. Meanwhile, Shigaraki appears to be growing more powerful and ruthless as the final season begins. With all the characters now involved, as shown in the opening, this is shaping up to be a finale that fans absolutely won’t want to miss.
How to Watch My Hero Academia’s Final Season
My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON is currently releasing new episodes in Japan this Fall. Fans in the United States can watch it on Crunchyroll and Hulu. Naomi Nakayama, who directed previous seasons, is back to direct the anime’s conclusion at studio Bones. The team from earlier seasons is also returning, including Yosuke Kuroda writing the scripts, Kenji Nagasaki as chief director, Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima designing the characters, and Yuki Hayashi composing the music.
My Hero Academia’s anime adaptation still has a significant amount of story left to tell before it concludes. Series creator Kohei Horikoshi has hinted that the anime will include some entirely new content not present in the original manga. This gives fans even more reason to watch how the series wraps up.
