My Steam Deck, Xbox Ally X, Legion Go 2, and Nintendo Switch 2 all fit perfectly in this bag — Here’s why it’s the ideal handheld carrying case

Because handheld gaming PCs come in many shapes and sizes, finding the right protective case can be tricky. But Tomtoc has created a bag designed to fit a variety of different handheld gaming devices.

A few years ago, I reviewed the Tomtoc Arccos-G47 bag, highlighting how well it fits and works with both the Steam Deck and the original ROG Ally.

Recently, a lot more handheld gaming PCs have come out. So, when Tomtoc contacted me about updates to their Arccos G-47 case – designed to fit even more of these devices – I was interested to learn more.

I’ve been testing how well this bag carries different handheld gaming devices – like the Xbox Ally X, ROG Ally X, Legion Go 2, Legion Go, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam Deck – over the past few days. I also packed in various accessories to see how much the bag can actually hold.

Here’s what makes this the perfect carrying bag for most handheld gaming PCs.

I received a sample of this product from Tomtoc for review purposes. It’s important to note that Tomtoc had no influence over my assessment and didn’t see what I wrote before it was published. I wanted to be transparent about that.

Tomtoc Arccos-G47: What’s good

The Tomtoc Arccos G-47 Travel Bag usually costs $49.99, but Amazon was selling it for $44.99 when this was written. While you can find cheaper handheld bags, this one offers a lot more storage space than many others.

This bag is smartly designed to perfectly fit and keep all my handheld devices safe inside.

I reviewed the Tomtoc Arccos-G47 bag before, but Tomtoc has made some design improvements. While it’s not a hard case, the new version is cleverly designed to securely hold and protect all my handheld gaming devices. A velcro strap inside keeps each device from moving around during travel.

The case features thick padding and a soft interior lining. A strong, W-shaped divider made of EVA material separates the handheld compartment from the storage space, and it’s designed to accommodate most handheld gaming devices. Together, the padding and divider offer excellent protection for your handheld’s joysticks, buttons, and screen against damage from drops, bumps, and pressure.

The bag is made of a tough, water-resistant polyester that protects my device from scratches and light rain. Plus, the zippers work really smoothly, making it easy to open and close the bag.

This updated bag holds its shape much better than the first version, even when it’s empty. It’s mainly a visual improvement, but it definitely looks more polished.

This bag comfortably and securely fits my Steam Deck, Xbox Ally X, ROG Ally X, Legion Go, Legion Go 2, and Nintendo Switch 2. It effectively protects all their buttons, screens, and joysticks, even though each device has a different design.

One of the best features of this bag is how easily I can move around without needing to hold it – the comfortable shoulder strap is adjustable for a perfect fit. Plus, the updated strap has improved clasps that swivel smoothly but keep the bag securely attached.

The case also has plenty of storage space, which is rare for gaming handheld carrying cases. I was able to fit everything I needed – my Xbox Ally X, HDMI cable, docking station, charger, a stand, a power bank, and several USB accessories – all inside the main compartment of the Arccos G-47 at the same time.

I can also fit smaller items like USB-A to USB-C adapters, cleaning cloths, and short cables into the front zipper pocket.

If I want, I can quickly add a mouse and a portable Bluetooth keyboard—I got a good one from Amazon called Artciety—to the device, turning it into something more like a standard computer.

Tomtoc Arccos-G47: What needs improvement

I really like this bag – it works perfectly for what I need it to do. While I have no complaints, I can see how some users might wish it had a couple of extra features.

I noticed this bag is made of a really tough fabric, but if you’re someone who always uses a hard case for travel, this probably isn’t for you. The inside has a clever W-shaped design that does a good job of protecting the screen, buttons, and joysticks while you’re moving around, but it won’t offer quite the same level of protection as a hard case.

It would also be helpful to have a handle on the bag, allowing people to carry it upright without using the shoulder strap.

Tomtoc Arccos-G47: Should you buy it?

✅ You should buy this if…

  • You want a convenient way to carry your handheld hands-free
  • You like taking various accessories with you on the go
  • You’re looking for a carrying bag that works for each of your handhelds

❌ You shouldn’t buy this if…

  • You’d prefer a hard shell handheld bag
  • You need something you can carry by a handle

I consistently recommend the Tomtoc Arccos G-47 Travel Bag to anyone who needs a carrying case, no matter what handheld gaming device they have. Its smart, built-in hard shell protects the joysticks, buttons, and screen of all my different handhelds during travel.

I really appreciate how much room this has for all my small gadgets when I travel. And it’s great being able to carry it over my shoulder, leaving my hands free for other items.

Need a bag to carry all your gadgets, or just a dependable bag with plenty of space? The Arccos G-47 is a great option.
