“The most important thing is understanding yourself,” Mya told TopMob News. “It’s what guides you, shapes how you act, and helps you make choices.”
According to the 46-year-old, when people aren’t sure of themselves, it’s easy for others to influence them and make them vulnerable to criticism and outside opinions.

Mya noticed that when people fully commit to themselves, something amazing often happens – it’s as if they become naturally attractive to the opportunities they desire.
She explained that when you focus on personal growth, positive things, including love, start happening. This love tends to be with someone who brings out the best in you, though we’re always changing and growing, so relationships can continue to deepen. It’s best to approach love from a place of wanting it, rather than needing it.
Ultimately, the Grammy winner boiled it down to one important takeaway: “Committing to self first.”
